If you don't want to pay for servicing you could always bring it to Cartier and ask them for an insurance valuation. I wouldn't tell them you bought it second hand though, I'd say it was a gift.

Hello fellow TPFers!

I am in need of some identification/authentication help. This past weekend my husband and I went to an Estate Sale and as I was browsing through one of the bedrooms, I found a love bracelet! It was in a jewelry box (cartier box no where to be found) and I wasn't sure it was real or not. We brought it to a jeweler, he told us that it was not aluminum, nickel, or silver and he confirmed that it was white gold. However since he knows nothing about the bracelet, he couldn't help us confirm. The closest cartier within our vicinity is 2 hours away. I am going to try and make it there next weekend, however I wanted to ask my fellow LOVE bracelet lovers and experts on here too.

Here are the pics:

I'm certainly no expert but I think it's fake. It's not the order of the hallmarks inside that concern me because they differ depending on the year it was manufactured (based on my own experience). The font of the engraving looks different and I've seen quite a few fakes with the G750 stamp that were gold plated. I have yet to see an authentic Love with a "G"750 stamp. I've seen 750 and AU 750, but never G750. This is based on my own experience, I could be wrong, if so hopefully someone with more experience could chime in.

I am also new to Cartier Love Bracelet. It's hard to say. But shouldn't the Cartier "marking" look "crisp, level and easily legible" - as quoted from How To Spot A Fake Cartier Love Bangle" by Raymond Lee Jewellers.

I am not an expert, but I own 3 love bracelets. I have a rose gold bangle withouts diamonds, that i bought in 2011 from cartier boutique in Vienna. And another white gold one with 10 diamonds. I hope their pictures will help.

This bangle was polished once. Its edges are sharper than yours and the marks are deferent. You can see 2 extra marks on the night on the 3rd picture. Keep in mind that the marks are deferent in new cartier jewellery than old ones.

Markings on bangles with diamonds are a bit deferent. I bought it this year.

Hi there,
Could anyone please tell me if this Return To Tiffany bracelet is genuine? I purchased it off Ebay and have am not sure about the back stamp, it seems to be quite lightly stamped? Do you think it's genuine? Any help would be great thank you!

Hi,

In order for me to be able to verify the "authenticity" of my pre-loved Love Bracelet, I went ahead and brought it to the Cartier Boutique to have it "stamped" with my name and cleaned. They accepted it and will supposedly be ready in 3 weeks. My question is, will Cartier service the bracelet if it was fake? I have read in another forum contradicting responses, some say Cartier won't service and others say will service.

Please help me find the answer.

Thanks in advance.
