This LOOKS really good to me. I've been studying LOVE'S like crazy (and own two right now) and everything checks out to me. It looks exactly like my hallmarks.

The love is fake. That serial number is shown on many fake eBay loves. I've seen it in uh, RG, and WG. The counterfeiters must use the same mold over and over. Sorry!

A quick Google search reveals that this button was worn by Chanel reps at larger department stores as early as the late 80's to be able to identify associates who work for the company.

No problem! Basically when you search for the term "Chanel Specialiste", you're shown a series of Linkedn profiles of former Chanel associates who held that title, all of whom from major department stores, usually in the 90's, but as early as the 80's. It's similar to how Dior associates wear the Dior pin today, etc. I don't think that there would be a counterfeit pin like this, because I don't think it was actually for sale, more part of a uniform.
