It is not from a Tiffany and co website so fake. I looked at their other stuff on the site and its all fake...wrong designs...am I right Sadie?

All the Tiffany pieces I looked at on this site looked fine. There are plenty of reputable sellers of authentic pre-loved Tiffany. Where you need to be careful is sites trying to fool the buyer that they are an "official" Tiffany website. There is only ONE real Tiffany.com online. Careful for sites that say things like Tiffany.org, or Tiffanybest.com, etc..

But if u look at the other Tiffany jewellery. Most dont show the T and Co markings next to clasp . That dbty looks strange. Its not joined .

I didn't see a diamond by the yard piece? Which piece are you referring to? Are we talking about the Fashionphile website, or am I missing something? I looked at everything with a clasp that is Tiffany there, and no red flags on any of it.

The ring is authentic. Do you know it is thinner than the original one?
I think *170 means that there was a limited number produced and this ring is 170th out of say 500.

The "star" 170 marking is the made in Italy (star) and jeweler/brand/gold registry maker number. In Italy gold manufacturers have a registry number to identify who it is made by.

Hi Ladies and Gents,

I had a question about the Tiffany oval "Return to Tiffany" tag necklace. Someone told me that the back of the oval tag has "Tiffany & Co" stamped on the back of it. Do the authentic oval tags have the stamp on the back? All my research leads me to believe that the back of the oval tag is blank. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
Ever since about the 1980's or so, Tiffany's has always stamped a copyright symbol SOMEWHERE on each and every piece they make. They started doing that in order to combat all of the counterfeits that were being produced. Anyone can put the name Tiffany & Co. on their stuff, but as soon as they slap that copyright logo on there they can get into some huge trouble. If you happen to have a piece that doesn't have the copyright symbol on it somewhere (the circle-c) it may just be that it's an older piece that was made prior to the 1980's.

Now in regards to the RTT line at Tiffany's, please note the placement of the word "TO". A few years ago, Tiffany redesigned their tag necklaces and bracelets to where the first line will have all three words "Please Return To" at the top instead of the word "TO" being on the second line all on it's own. So beware if you find a seller trying to sell you a piece with the word "To" on the second line on it's own while telling you the necklace is brand new.

After going through what seemed to be a MILLION RTT oval tag necklaces for sale on Ebay, I finally found an authentic one that was made after the 1980's but BEFORE the design change. It clearly shows the copyright symbol stamped cleanly and clearly on the back of the oval tag - the way all authentic RTT tag necklaces and bracelets were made post 1980's.
