Back again :D

thank you all so much for being so helpful,, can someone give me their opinion on this oval tag choker and bracelet set. Apparantly 8 years old and bought in Tiffany New York-

The links are all soldered but kind of pointy IYKWIM (I have zoomed in on them)

I see what you mean by the links not being completely round and are pointy but this was how these links looked 10+ years ago. The round links sold today are more rounded but this necklace looks consistent with the Tiffany Return To tag necklace from 10+ years ago. There are a few other things that stick out to me, making this an older vintage necklace and it fit’s the time frame that the seller specified. Looks authentic to me.

Thank you, I was concerned about the 'pointy' links as I haven't seen them before on any pieces that I have, when you say there are things that stick out that make it an older vintage necklace, what things do you mean? I know the layout of the wording is different on the very recent RTT oval bracelets and necklaces, but is there something else too?

I am now becoming obsessed with Tiffany :D and am always surprised how many items on Ebay are listed as genuine but are OBVIOUSLY fake, and I am only starting to learn what to look for, my hubby has even started pointing some out (my obsession is starting to rub off on him!)

The Return To Tiffany tag choker has been around for a long time and for the most part, the front tag has always remained the same. The round links and the clasp have changed somewhat. Older links are and can be pointy. The soldering line on the links also changed. Newer links have very clean and neat solder lines. Older links can have a ‘cracked’ look on the inner link. Looking at the links alone can help give an idea of when it was made. The lobster clasp has changed. The clasp may have small gap, and the 925 placement on the clasp may be different.

If you are trying to buy this necklace on eBay or online, you could always post the pictures here if you are in doubt.

Thanks :D I already bought the set on Ebay £55 for the pair (approx $90), but they seem to be in much better condition than the set I already had, and I was debating which set to keep. Think I will keep these and Ebay my other set and to be honest I actually quite like the fact that they are older :D. I also recently bought an Elsa Peretti open heart medium B pendant on 18" chain which was originally bought in 2004 and I LOVE it...but now can't decide whether I prefer the chunky RTT look or the more understated look of the open heart...think I will alternate!
