hello @ the purseforum!

i thought i did quite a bit of research and eventually bought my first 2 hermès scarves on - yes - ebay…
however, after plunging some more into the world of hermès (including all the replicas/fakes), i found “forwest.com” and your forum’s post on this topic. i have to admit that i am now a little nervous about these two purchases - especially after finding this first scarf in a different colourway on forwest…

any thoughts on their authenticity?

thank you!

Forwest sells fakes only and steals pictures and descriptions of legitimate sellers.

We furthermore appreciate if you post scarves for authentication BEFORE the auction ends (actually, WELL before).

Nevertheless,
The Envol is authentic.
The Tibet looks authentic as well, but I would need much better pictures to be sure.

hello @ dame de coeur,

first: thank you very much for your reply! i did contact the seller of the "tibet" and, in a side note, casually asked for some background history. she wrote back saying she bought it herself (actually @ a store i know) and i have no reason not to believe her. in any event, i can post better pictures once the scarf has reached me.

also: i apologize for the late request but only came across this forum after i had already made the purchases. next time i'll know better... but may i ask why this is important?

as for "forwest.com": yes, i am aware of the fact that they sell fakes/replicas only and that the pictures are copies (including the descriptions, btw). has anyone you know - or anybody else here @ the purseforum - ever purchased a scarf from them?

greetings & thank you again!

Hello, My name is Lucas. I am a huge garage sale goer and this past summer I bought a bag with several silk scarves in it. It was only $1 so I wasn't thinking anything too exciting would actually be in it, but after investigation I found a beautiful scarf in it that said Hermes on the corner, and had a tag said Made in France! I was pretty excited! I brought into a high end consignment shop to get a better idea if this scarf was however real. She than directed me to your forum. After looking over the rules about getting a item authenticated I realized that I'm not qualified to have it looked at on here. I was wondering if you could direct me to the best place to have this scarf looked at and to tell me if it is actually real or not. I can take pictures and give you all the information that I have for it. But didn't want to knowing that it could easily be dismissed because it isnt' coming from sellers website. Again thank you for taking your time to look at this. And if you are willing to give it a look over, I can post the items measuments and post pictures as soon as possible. I, have done some research, and from what I can tell it is absolutely real. However the text and some of the detailing of the horses seem to texture when you rub your finger across the silk and the lettering.
