Hello,

I have what looks like a vintage Gucci clutch purse. It is a black canvas double GG with black leather trim. The interior is a mauve satin and the zipper pull inside is broken off. There is a hinged leather strap on the left side.

Item name: unknown
Seller: I own the bag
I took the pictures
My mom gave me the bag.

If you could let me know if it is authentic and if the clutch is from a certain collection and what era? 1970 or 1960s? I can take more pictures.

Thank you!ImageUploadedByPurseForum1364407267.128312.jpgImageUploadedByPurseForum1364407295.623320.jpgImageUploadedByPurseForum1364407345.882754.jpgImageUploadedByPurseForum1364407372.701864.jpgImageUploadedByPurseForum1364407426.874103.jpgImageUploadedByPurseForum1364407477.342326.jpgImageUploadedByPurseForum1364407568.122828.jpgImageUploadedByPurseForum1364407617.289009.jpg

I see no red flags at all but I really find it hard to do these patent leather late '90s. Check for details by touch with your other 1990s bags (not just the charm as those are removable) and trust your instincts.

Item: Pale Yellow Vintage Gucci Purse
Purchased at a Vintage Couture store, they say it's authentic
Picture attached, thank you so much for your help!!

Hi authenticators, I have a bag that I bought in a thrift store and it looks good and vintage to me, just wanted to get an opinion if the bag is authentic and if there's any specific name for this and from what year did the company release the bag. Thanks a lot in advance for your great expertise :))

Item Name: Gucci Sling Bag

History of the bag: I bought it in a thrift store and it looks authentic to me
Comments: Thank you very much for your help. :)

This bag is authentic but logo hardware has been removed, presumably to 'improve' another bag into fooling someone into thinking it's a Gucci

Hello papertiger!

I seriously need to close my eBay account. I just can't get over the quality of vintage Gucci.

Can you please help me with the below item? I asked for a picture of the Gucci emblem and serial number to help with authentication and these have been posted.

Thanks sooo much papertiger - your help is seriously invaluable.

There have certainly been items that I have passed on because I was concerned about authenticity, and having been trying to wait until I actually win to bother you with all of this.

I just can't thank you enough for all your help!:D

Hi, a friend asked me to help her sell her Gucci bag on eBay, and I know close to nothing about bags. Although I trust my friend, she received her bag as a gift, so I just wanted to make sure that the bag is indeed authentic:

Item Name (if you know it): Sorry, I don't know, but please tell me if you know.
Link (if available): (Please see attached photos.)
Seller: Soon to be me
Who took the pictures: I did...just now.
History of the bag: My friend's brother purchased the bag in Hong Kong. He gave the bag as a gift to my friend when he visited her here in the States and told her it's authentic. My friend rarely wears the bag, so she asked me to help her sell it on eBay.
Comments: It's a really cute bag <3.
