Hello, please kindly authenticate this "vintage" Gucci backpack.

History of the bag: "vintage" is all i was told
Comments: On the bottom outside compartment, the zipper fell off but i also included a photo of the zipper.

The serial number (in case the photo is not clear enough) is top row: 019 (dot) 0352, bottom row: 001998.


I purchased it on 3/9/2013 at a consignment store in Corona Del Mar, an upscale beach city in Southern California. The owner of the boutique/ consignment store claimed that it was real and I paid $200 plus tax for it. After I purchased it, i started to have doubts about the authenticity when I saw another girl post the exact same backpack on another website for $30 as an "inspired gucci backpack". I also had a bad feeling about it when i noticed that the stitching was a little messy, the logos at the seam did not match perfectly, and it uses velcro (i read somewhere that Gucci never uses velcro on their handbags- not sure if it's true). I contacted the owner of the boutique and asked her how she authenticated the backpack (in store and online, the owner claims that all of her pieces are authenticated). She said that she personally knows the previous owner of the backpack and she only has real bags. So she did not actually authenticate the bag, she is just assuming that it's authentic. However, she still claims that the backpack is authentic "for sure".

I would greatly appreciate it if you can tell me from your experience if this is authentic or not. Since the owner claims that all of her pieces are authentic, if i can prove otherwise (or at least get an opinion from someone like you), then i can ask for my money back. Otherwise, she said that i can resell the backpack to her, but i will only get 50% of the selling price since it's on consignment. Please help! Thank you so much!!

Comments: i Bought this item the quality is seem right but the only wierd it came in packed in a small plastic bag with gucci logo in bag . emailed the seller inquiring if it didnt came in a dust bag he say he doesnt remember because it is two years old and offer a refund should be concern and sent it back? I been trying to call gucci to very serial number but no answer .
