Who took the pictures: I did
History of the bag: I work in an Estate Sale shop and this appeared on the counter as if by magic inside a fleece Gucci drawstring bag. This leads me to believe it is a leftover from an estate sale (the shop owner is prone to just leave things without comment).
Comments:It appears to be totally unused, came in with brown paper stuffed in it as if it came from the shop directly. There is no evidence of wear anywhere. It is about 11 inches long, 7.5 inches high (without handles up) and about 4.5 inches deep across the bottom. It came with a shoulder strap (shown in separate photos). I would like to post it at an online auction but don't feel confident about my purse authenticating ability. Could sure use second opinions! Thanks everyone!

Comments: The listing says that this bag was in the 1960s yet I am pretty sure it was produced in the 70s when the gold became popular. It was weird that no Italy was marked. Any details on this purse and the line? I know there is a "new" version that is available now called the "Gucci 1970"

Unsurprisingly, from 1970. For a seller that doesn't know the name of current stock it's not bad guess at dating, the brand re-vamp was more in 1973, so bags before that share similar characteristics (although some have 'Italy' and 'Made in Italy' before that date too).

I don't usually comment on newer bags but these are fake, they are also not the skin they profess to be. Just the prices should have rung alarm bells

Authentic but one of the charms is superfluous to the design, obviously the seller (or whoever sold it to him/her) was less that confident themselves.
