Thanx to both of you Mayday and princess ...

Here in France EBay is hunting fake sellers, a lot of saddles that where for sale desapeared last night ... ebay choose to put them down :)

what about this one please ... it look's smart ;)

i'm not totally sure because i'm new with this authenticity thing, but from what i can tell the inner tag which says "christian dior/paris", the reverse of it should state the place where it was made - like "made in italy". the serial numbers look like they were stamped on rather than embossed into the leather tag.

i think mayday, madamestuff, princesslisa or one of the members on here might be able to help you verify that.

the last two look real to me. the last one has a reserve price though, so it might be a lil pricey eventually.
i not so sure about the first two.

i hope that helps a little whilst waiting for confirmation from one of the other ladies on the board regarding the authenticity of the bags.

now for a little authenticity question myself... could any of you ladies help me verify the bag below:

if it's indeed real, do any of you ladies see any real/significant flaws in the bag (because i'm blind as a dingbat and my experience from buying that trotter romantique online has taught me that i had better get lots of opinion from everyone before i commit to buying a bag).

also, anyone here thinks the price is a little too high and i should just wait out for it, or offer a lower price to the seller?

The white saddle is fake :(...Zerodross noticed the inaccuracies on the interior leather tag, which is the dead giveaway of the fakeness of this bag.

Hi Icecannons!

Sorry but both of these wallets are fake, because of the completely inaccurate dust-pouches (the inaccurate logos on them) and the wrong generation authenticity card.

I think they do retail for around that price, but the seller has NO right to say this considering the price of these fakes is under $20.

Okie...the WHITE saddle (your first link) is fake. BUT the rest of the saddles are authentic!:yes:

Hey Zerodross!

The price is quite high for this bag! You can try your luck by submitting an offer that is far lower than the BIN price.

As for the bag itself, it's authentic. And as for the condition, it is used and there seems to be sharp indentations on the back of the bag (looks like some keys kept hitting it). There are also scruff marks all over the bag. If I were you, I'd wait for another one to go on Ebay.

And Zerodross, you're not blind as a dingbat...we ALL saw the picture to the velvet Trotter Romantique bag before you bought it, and I think none of us were able to see that (at least I didn't). It could've happened to anyone. Let's help each other out by carefully examining the pics of auctions and identifying possible flaws.

Hey everyone!

I was just reading some posts in the other Authenticate This threads (for other brands) and I've noticed that some people are saying that even if the pictures of the bags are all of authentic bags, a low price is a dead fake giveaway. I absolutely disagree with this statement. Yes, once or twice the price can help provide clues as to whether or not a bag is authentic (for example, when there aren't enough pictures, a low price may ring some bells), but just because a price is low doesn't mean a bag is fake.

Anyway, I just wanted to share this with you all. People are saying how the Authenticate This threads are a tool to fight against fakes, but if even real bags are dismissed as being fakes, then these threads aren't a very useful tool, especially to help others get great authentic bags for amazing prices.

Sorry if this post doesn't actually go anywhere...I'm just ranting.
