hehe 98% of the gauchos posted on ebay are fakes :(

have no fear though..keep an eye out in the next few days...im going to be listing my medium white gaucho for a good price (starting bid around $650usd) and feel free to post the link in here for the other gals to validate the authenticity!

I'll give you a hint...I used one of the pics that I posted in the "Dior Collections Let's Share!" thread (although the auction itself has many more pics taken from the same day).;)

Now i'm going to start hunting for LV1011's bag...maybe I'll be able to post it in the "Ebay Suggestions" thread (if I find it, that is)!!!

The first two are authentic (except I wouldn't bid on the second one because the person has 0 feedback, and only has 1 picture).

The third one is fake :sad:

Thanks! I had wanted to bid on that item, but the seller never did get back to me on the authenticity, so I shied away. It is a very pretty bag, slightly different than some of the others offered. And what a great fall color! Do you have any idea what season it is, or its correct name?

And that's a pretty Dior you have up for bids on EBay! I'll admit, i have only one Dior bag, inherited from an aunt, so I'm no expert on Dior but I may just be a convert...!

I don't think the first one is authentic because the top flap is too short. The caramel detailing doesn't seem right to me either, and the leather overall doesn't seem worn enough.

The second one isn't real - the leather is WAY too stiff, the hardware too shiny and I think the charm on the buckle is on the wrong side.

The third one has the same issues as the first.

The last one is way too shiny and icky and white. They're supposed to look beat-up, remember! :yucky:

I also think the one you posted in the second post is fake too.

HOWEVER, again, I'm just a beginner.

When you're looking at the eBay listings, I suggest you have some pictures of authentic Gauchos open in another window, and then play 'spot the difference' with the bags.

Wow...you should feel confident when you authenticate because all the Gauchos are fake due to those reasons!!! You're amazing for a beginner (you're more like a pro at it already)!
