Would like to know if this is authentic, and what the name is. Thanks!View attachment 3868036

Another of my finds. Is it real? Anyone know the name? Also, how can I clean it and deodorize it? It smells like curry! Thanks. View attachment 3868039
Both wristlets look fine but other than signature wristlets (possibly "pleated" describing the first one), I don't know the official style name or number.

Coach has made a huge variety of similar styles over the years, some with slight differences that are MFF.

Good morning authenticators! Please let me know your opinion of these bags. Thank you in advance.

Comment: Curious about the creed on this one.
Both fine.

ETA: @whateve and @Hyacinth -
Please check this one from the same seller. Are there 2 fonts for this factory?

ETA #2: I've now looked at many *6B creeds and found none that look like this one. :(

Well I can see I haven't been looking at these listings of fakes long enough! I still slip into these lapses of naivete where I don't understand how people who sell Coach, authentic Coach and lots of Coach can list something with a 'W' as a month code. Point made. They know exactly what they are doing when they li$t fake Coach bag$ and they don't care they are fake$. Got it.

Some sellers just don't care, and the Special Snowflake Power Sellers know they'll never face any consequences other than getting a message from Ebay to please remove a listing or two. And far too many think that their "experience", such as it is and limited as it is, makes them experts who don't need to do any research. They can't even be bothered to do something as easy as Googling a serial number - not just for pictures which it seems is all they look for if they DO Google the number, but to see if there are any posts on the internet that have identified that number as being used in fakes! Even the Daria48 and Salearea Guides that have disappeared from Ebay's indexing and search system can still be found through Google. But of course, too many of those sellers believe that they're too smart and too experienced to take advice from anyone else. We can only hope that having items removed and selling privileges restricted wakes them up to the fact that their information and experience is seriously flawed and incomplete and they need to start researching and authenticating.

There's NO excuse for not doing a simple search and actually READING the links to places like tPF and Ebay's own Discussion Boards for every single Coach item in inventory before they're listed or better yet before they're even bought or acquired for resale. You'd think that anyone with even a thimbleful of experience would know that Coach and other name brands are highly faked. And if not, one of those Google searches for "fake Coach bag" would tell them.

Not only the wrong font, but it's not a Berkeley, it's a Saddle bag and the 9988 Saddle Bag wasn't even introduced until Spring 1997. While there's slight possibility that a Spring '97 bag might have been made in October of 1996, that just seems to be stretching it a bit too much. But the serial font by itself is proof enough for me.

Ugh! So goodgirlvintagegoods is another not recommended mixer of fakes and authentic!

Both of these are genuine but the seller also has at least one fake Coach listed, see this recent post #25743:

Check the Rehab and Rescue thread at the Coach Clubhouse for cleaning and deodorizing advice advice, most Signature fabric items can be hand or machine washed.
https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/coach-rehab-and-rescue-club.833400/

There are also a lot of deodorizer products available online or at grocery, pet or hardware stores that will remove even the worst odors. Sometimes just hanging it outside in the sunshine will work but I'm sure the members there or the ones who also post at this thread will have some good suggestions.

Good evening ladies. Got this on eBay and I think it might be a fake.
In this case, we don't even need to see any more of the bag nor what it's trying to be. It has a well known invalid serial number and is always fake.

Please come back and post a link to the listing and the seller's ID. (Refer to post #1 for the posting format and info we need.)

I bought this before I found TPF. She said she'll take a return so I have contacted her.
That's good. I hope you get a complete refund, including postage both ways. How long ago did you buy it? Is it down because it's been so long or because ebay removed it for being fake?
