Please confirm this is fake. Coach never used a logo with an oval cartouche frame and that font, did they?

I don't know about the logo, but the hems are absolute CWAP. And the font in that logo is the same as on so many of the fake keychains and hangtags we've seen.
Confirmation #2!

Both look okay.

After catching up on the Hall of Shame thread, I found that Etsy seller
ProVintageGear had another fake. IMO, it's not enough to end listings when "caught!"

And in fact, I found another fake, posted here:

Please look at this interesting piece and confirm. TIA!

I'm not able to edit my post so I'm updating.

My side-by-side confirms what I suspectedprovintagegear fake 1997 H creed vs auth.png :

Of course! Do you think none of them are either tPF members or readers?

A pic of a serial PREFIX is often a better indicator of a fake than the pic of just the style number. A lot of fakes especially of classic pre-China leathers have incorrect or invalid codes in the prefixes.
Avoid all selllers who play those games no matter how good a specific listing might look. And I don't have to repeat that we strongly recommend avoiding the SITES that close their eyes to that kind of behavior or that refuse to protect their buyers from accidental or deliberate crooks.
@BeenBurned
Well I can see I haven't been looking at these listings of fakes long enough! I still slip into these lapses of naivete where I don't understand how people who sell Coach, authentic Coach and lots of Coach can list something with a 'W' as a month code. Point made. They know exactly what they are doing when they li$t fake Coach bag$ and they don't care they are fake$. Got it.

Oh yes. And the other point. These sellers are to be avoided. These sellers know that there is a thriving counterfeit market out there. And they are fine with making money on it by taking it from buyers who know less than they do.
