It's supposed to be a court bag.

Not only is the serial number on the Daria48 Fake Coach Numbers List at Ebay, AND searching for "coach 0444-315 " on Google brings up a link to exactly that list and several copies of it, but since when is the word "scrAtches" spelled without the letter "a"?

That's 3 major red flags, one of which doesn't even require any internet search. And now that you've found tPF, we hope we can help you spot those kind of obvious problems before you spend money on more fakes.

I bought it on 10/21. I can only see the purchase if I go into 'Help & Contact'. Not sure if it was reported, but the listing has been removed. I will make sure the I don't pay shipping!
If it disappeared this soon, then it is because it was reported and removed. The seller probably became aware of the fact that it is fake once it was removed. I'm surprised you didn't get anything from ebay about it.

I sucked it up and told her it was not authentic. Her response: It is, but if you feel that way that's why I accept returns. Got my paid label and it goes to the post office tomorrow!

Meanwhile, what do you think of this?

I bought this before I found TPF. She said she'll take a return so I have contacted her.

That's good. I hope you get a complete refund, including postage both ways. How long ago did you buy it? Is it down because it's been so long or because ebay removed it for being fake?

I will make sure to follow the format. I just found the Daria48 list and also Hyacinth's post in the ebay salesarea. My goodness, I never would have thought that there are so many people selling counterfeit. My goal is to build a collection of made in USA Coach, so I gotta' continue to educate myself!

Both are fine.

Check the Rehab and Rescue thread at the Coach Clubhouse for cleaning and deodorizing advice advice, most Signature fabric items can be hand or machine washed.
https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/coach-rehab-and-rescue-club.833400/

There are also a lot of deodorizer products available online or at grocery, pet or hardware stores that will remove even the worst odors. Sometimes just hanging it outside in the sunshine will work but I'm sure the members there or the ones who also post at this thread will have some good suggestions.

Thanks! I did try just airing it out for a few weeks (it's worked before on other bags), but it still smells like curry, although not quite so strongly. Thanks for the link to rehab page -- I will definitely check that out.

I've found some smells are really hard to get rid of, especially perfume and thrift store smell. I've never had one smell of curry! I believe you can safely wash it. I've used dishwashing soap and water on many fabric bags. I think the dishwashing soap will work well on curry. Make sure you rinse well and blot dry. The trick to not getting water stains is to get it evenly wet and letting it dry evenly.

Hi! Ive just purchased this coach reversible tote online in Carousel(singapore app) but im unsure if its authentic. The seller said it’s from the factory itself. Could u help me to authenticate this bag?

Item Name: Coach Reversible Tote Cornflower F36658
@Miraoosh

I shall copy your images on to the bottom of this post for ease of referring to them.

I apologize for the delay in responding to your question. We were away for part of the weekend and I'd intended to do further research on the bag you're asking about.

Unfortunately, I don't believe authenticity can be confirmed at this time as I wasn't able to find a single listing that has the "correct" pictures needed to confirm or deny my suspicions. (If anyone reading this thread owns style 36658 made in 2016, your input would be helpful.)

My concern is this. It appears that the 2016 bags of this style are lacking the serial/production number on creed on the pouch that comes with the bag. (The 2017 bags have a serial number under the creed.) And because there's no serial number, we need to see the white tag (as you've shown) with that production information.

This style of item is a MFF (made for factory) bag and in your pictures is indicated as such by the dot shown after "made in Vietnam" on the made in tag. Yet the is NO "F" in front of the style number on the white label.

While this may simply be how the bags were made by Coach, without a single other listing showing that tag and allowing confirmation that Coach didn't use an F in front of the style number, I cannot confirm authenticity.

While I don't see any other red flags in the details shown in your pictures, I'm not comfortable enough to say one way or the other whether it's authentic.
