As for your responsibility to other Ebay buyers, first concentrate on the seller's responsibility to YOU as the buyer. SHE'S the one breaking the law as well as Ebay's rules about selling fakes if the bag really does turn out to be fake. Her response will indicate how to handle it and how to deal with her if she refuses to do the right thing.

Hey, the listing was already down. Seller was very cooperative and I already returned it. I think I was jumping the gun. I really appreciate your attention. Now I get that I should request authentication before I buy something! I'm reading and learning a lot on here!

Yep, I noticed that one when I was composing my reply at the ATC thread about our ol' buddy " GutsyGirls" aka Gutsy Girls over at Etsy and PM among heaven only knows how many other venues. The front pocket is too narrow compared to the rest of the bag too. And there's no way to be sure but it alsmost looks like the serial number is in three sections instead of two. AND Station Bags don't have zippers on the inside pocket either.

I think this is one of ebay's special snowflakes who can do no wrong. It seems that anyone with thousands of feedback gets a free pass to sell fakes.

Although the listing was ended, the seller has been discussed many times even coming to TPF to defend his honor.

Yet clearly, provintagegear still isn't verifying authenticity before listing items.

IMO, it's not enough to end a listing when it's posted on TPF's Hall of Shame. The RIGHT and LEGAL thing to do is to NOT list items before making sure they're legit.

One has to wonder how many fakes the seller has sold.

Good grief! For a seller who (seems to) read here, he sure isn't always doing the right thing!

The "abbie zip crossbody" fake I posted above was previously posted (by me!) when I asked about the same POS in April, 2017.
