Off topic but a lol I had to put up....this is the "model" from the crossbody I bought off Ebay not too long ago and posted his pic on here with him wearing it. Read the last part of the new product description

I'd rather see him modeling some styles than those scrawny scowling so-called "models" that Coach used during the recent NYC Fashion Week! :D

(Yes, and his little dog too!) ;)
I love his sense of humor!

Thanks, Hyacinth, for the above ^ authentication.

I have made a huge mistake...I'm pretty certain I've purchased a fake.

I bought a bag off eBay without running the creed by tPF first.

The creed photo on the listing page is unclear, however the seller posted the serial number all over his page. Unfortunately I didn't look at the fake serial list until now.

Advice needed on how to proceed.

Here is his listing:

Item: Vintage Tan Distressed Leather Crossbody Coach 0443 117 Purse TLC

Item# 310892177442

Seller:rehashretro

Ebay URL:http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Tan...yG9u8C5RnWGfPPHXjTOxw%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

I'll post my photo of the creed next.

ETA: I'm having upload issues that I am resolving.
I don't think there is anything wrong with the bag. It looks like an authentic Lightweights bucket. The serial number is 0443-117. The number on the fakes list are 0444-317, similar but not the same. The creeds I've seen with this fake number usually have obvious errors in the font and overstamping marks.

Really!?

Phew!

The bag itself felt weird, which made me wonder about it...but maybe it is just severely dried out.

I am so relieved!

Thank you thank you thank you.

It feels so weird, in fact, I can't tell if it is suede or leather. My brain tells me it is leather, because the inside of the bag is the raw suede side, but to the touch the bag feels very rough.
Usually the leather on these lightweights is very soft but they didn't age well. Hopefully with a lot of conditioning, it will recover. The leather is going to be different than the other vintage bags you have.

Good evening everyone. I'd like an authentication on this pocket shopper. At first I thought it was a sonoma because of the lining.

Thank you!!

Thanks so much for that! I saw one where the seller writes (andI am paraphrasing) "sorry the model is not for sale neither is his cute dog" what a great Dad! & great schtick..I'm thinking about having my 85 year old cute dad model my bags..:balloon::balloon: BEST! Sheri
To Hyacinth..I totally! agree, its way more fun to see him model, than the Anorexic, Grim looking models..Here's to normal smiling people!!

I was going to say I couldn't find the listing or the seller ID but you copied the seller wrong as well as the item number:
lorddafish
And the item number: 111299623948

This is why a link to the listing is also required.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=111299623948

In the future, instead of trying to type the seller name and item number, just highlight, copy and paste.

Wait for other opinions on the bag.

You copied the item number and the seller name down wrong. Here is the link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-Large...948?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item19e9f97c0c

The bag appears authentic but it must have been dyed since the interior leather is a different color. It is a Sonoma.

I'm not authenticating your recent purchase~ BUT, if it is deemed fake ,open a case with ebay..you are protected by ebay & paypal ! Go to the Resolution Center. Enter:Item not as described....Many times, sellers are great, they apologize & refund you..stress free transactionsand they should pay return ship costs!!..OTHER sellers get nasty & abusive! Noone needs that! If its fake ~you ask for refund (shipping charges included) plus return shipping charges You will be satisfied by ebay within about 4 days. If seller isn't responsive ebay will take care of it..you will be refunded. If ebay can't contact seller they will open a case. If the seller is a good seller they will contact you & make arrangements, if not you have a buffer, a go between..ebay. I Hope it works out!! Sheri

Sorry for the error. I was distracted by one of my dogs. Anyway, before I posted I checked out a '96 - '97 catalog. No 4920 is the pocket shopper natural grain. No 4924 is the sonoma pocket zip natural grain. Would they have used the sonoma lining in another line? Maybe it's just the way it's listed in the catalog. It's on a different page than the other sonomas.

I am pretty sure this authentic but has anyone seen this in person? I want to get it for my MIL because she is a purple freak but I need to know that it actually looks purple and not a purplish black. So if you have seen this color in person does it look like the picture or did a flash lighten it? I tried to look online and some pics look almost black. Thanks! :D
