It has to be fake since Coach didn't started using nickel hardware until at least 1997 and I don't believe this style was introduced until around 1999 or 2000.

Sorry, it's fake.

J4K- was reported as a known fake prefix here a few months ago.

That style Hippie Flap wasn't even made until 1999.

Hi, I have one more. This one I own and I am starting to wonder if it is real because even though I baby my purses it is having issues. This purse is only used on the weekends and the striping on the sides of the handles is starting to pull off and one of the hardware that is suppose to snap closed to attach the long strap is off also it doesn't close right. I may just be picky, if it is real is that normal for the bags or specifically factory bags?

I can't a good picture of the serial number, it says H1194-F18220, zippers say Ideal, there is a dot above Made in China on the inside manufacturer tag.

Signature Stripe Tartan Pocket Tote

It looks like a genuine Sig Stripe Tartan Pocket Tote. The details are correct, I think you just got one that was badly designed or made. Even full-price bags for the boutiques can have problems nowadays.

Could someone please authenticate this Coach bag?
Bought yesterday at Goodwill.
Approx. 10”w x 14”h x 7”d strap drop 18.5”
1995 Sonoma Soft Large Bucket Nubuck #4943, yes?
Were there fancy Sonoma color names, or is this just brown?
Thanks, as always, in advance for all info!

Genuine, the color was probably Bramble. "Soft Bucket Nubuc" is the catalog name, although the Small and the Medium in Natural Grain use "... Bucket Zip Natural Grain"

Thank you, I just wanted to make sure. The sides of the handles coming off is annoying, it gets strings and I have to keep clipping it lol.

Hi Gals,

I'm trying to learn how to spot a fake. I was wondering what you thought of this listing. To my untrained eye, the logo on the front of the purse appears to be a little crooked?

The bag looks authentic to me. I think the angle makes it look crooked.

I agree with Whateve that it looks good. If you enlarge the picture, you can see that it's slightly tilted toward the left, thus giving the appearance of being misaligned.

Looks good to me too.

Off topic but a lol I had to put up....this is the "model" from the crossbody I bought off Ebay not too long ago and posted his pic on here with him wearing it. Read the last part of the new product description

I'd rather see him modeling some styles than those scrawny scowling so-called "models" that Coach used during the recent NYC Fashion Week! :D

(Yes, and his little dog too!) ;)

Thanks, Hyacinth, for the above ^ authentication.

I have made a huge mistake...I'm pretty certain I've purchased a fake.

I bought a bag off eBay without running the creed by tPF first.

The creed photo on the listing page is unclear, however the seller posted the serial number all over his page. Unfortunately I didn't look at the fake serial list until now.

Advice needed on how to proceed.

Here is his listing:

Item: Vintage Tan Distressed Leather Crossbody Coach 0443 117 Purse TLC

Item# 310892177442

Seller:rehashretro

Ebay URL:http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Tan...yG9u8C5RnWGfPPHXjTOxw%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

I'll post my photo of the creed next.

ETA: I'm having upload issues that I am resolving.
