wow, what a fantastic deal! These usually go for around $50 or more. I don't know what is up with the seller showing the coach label but then claiming it is unbranded. Does she think it is fake? Or maybe she had some fakes removed before?

This isn't my area of expertise, and there are some very good legacy fakes, but i don't see any problems with it. More opinions are welcome.
what a score!!

thanks!
The keychain isn't a Coach product.

The lozenge appears to be authentic (from some keychain) and the links holding the top 4 flowers appear to be the correct gauge/thickness. The bottom links and the bottom flower are not made by Coach.

I'm not sure of the upper 4 flower charms and whether they're genuine or not.

Good lord! If that's the seller's way of disclaiming knowledge of authenticity, I think she cost herself some money. I don't see anything that indicates that the bag isn't authentic.

Congratulations.

Thank you both so much.
So Happy!

I don't believe that's a Coach scarf. There aren't any Coach markings on the scarf itself. I believe the label is a fake label. The font and logo are wrong. It looks as though someone half-sewed a fake Coach label onto a generic scarf.

Thanks so much for taking the time to reply! So is the reasoning that all Coach scarves, even pre-bling-era, had COACH printed on them? Or that this actually looks fake in some way? Any more specific info about the scarf itself you (or anyone else?) can provide would be most appreciated.

Fake. The chain is too long and the links are too thin. The arrangement of the colors is wrong and one pink flower is missing. Style 1810.
Thank you both! I'm glad I checked!

It looks fine and appears to be some type of MFF small Carly style.

It has nothing to do with Coach being printed on it. (In the case of fake bags, usually the more "Coach" markings an item has on it, the more likely it is to be fake.)

My opinion is that the scarf isn't counterfeit but rather, that it's a generic scarf to which someone added a Coach label.

The scarf doesn't have a print that Coach would use, the weave of the fabric isn't one that I've ever seen (not that that's definitive as to being fake), the brown label/tag appears to be added and has the wrong font and the scarf just isn't constructed as Coach scarves usually are.

Compare yours and mine:

Compare to various labels from different scarves, none of which are remotely similar to yours. Although Coach's middle name is "Inconsistency," it's the consistency that helps with authentications.

Something to remember too especially about that questionable Coach tag, is that AFAIK Coach has never used a broken border like that in its trademark, although they might have used something similar for ties. And using only designs that have been legally registered as trademarks is something that all companies have to do if they want their genuine items to be protected by international trademark laws. So any derivation from logo designs that have been in general use by a company should always be questioned and looked at carefully.

ETA - I've found a few Coach ties with a partly broken or "dashed" border but in a different style, and the dashes in the opposite location from where they are on the scarf. And I'm not even sure if those ties are genuine so that may not mean anything.

The tags don't even look like the kind you'd find on high quality scarves, more like something copied from the tags in a heavier or bulkier item like a hat or something similar. Tags for scarves were usually much more sleek and low profile so they wouldn't detract from the scarf design.

I don't know about all of them, but all the ones I've seen have either a Coach logo in the design somewhere or a Coach lozenge or cartouche in at least one corner, even the very first ones from around 1990. But I'm not a scarf person so I bow to BeenBurned when it comes to experience with scarves. I agree that it doesn't look like a typical Coach design.
