Waverlys are a single style of Soho Bag, style 4133, and always have a buckle on each handle. They were made mostly in the early and mid-1990s out of a lighter-weight leather.

Bleeckers are a full line of bags from around 1999-2000 with no buckles on the handles and made of regular cowhide leather. The style numbers usually start with 93**.

Both styles have been faked a lot and should always be authenticated. Never buy any Bleecker with a serial number beginning with J8Y-. The bag in the listing is a genuine Bleecker Small Basket.

It's fake. Style number 4082 belongs only to a single style called a Soho Bag which is a huge Tote style and definitely NOT what's shown in that listing, which is trying to look like a Sonoma Sling but has the wrong creed, lining, and zipper pulls. A genuine Soho Bag 4082 looks like the picture below. And NONE of the Soho (full line) or Lightweight styles ever came with pebbled leather.

Comments: I was bad and bought a purse without authenticating! This looks like an early 90's Basic Bag? In retrospect, I'm a little concerned about the creed--it's missing the "Leatherware" at the very top and "Made in the United States" isn't centered in the white space below the main text.

"Leatherware" is probably worn off. And during that time period Coach had three or four plants in operation and their creeds were all slightly different. You can't compare the small details because they WILL be different if they're from different plants.

I don't see anything wrong with it but it's possible that the strap and zipper pull have been replaced.
