Could it be navy?
It's very much gray. With silver hardware. Hard to get a good picture of the color with the fluorescent lighting here. But here's another try in front of s white wedding dress....does that help?

It looks genuine, and Gray was a 1998 color. I don't see any problems.
It's not a city bag. It's an authentic Park violet made for factory last year. It's quite a bit smaller than a city bag and a city bag isn't lined.Hi everyone, i was wondering if you could authenticate this Coach city bag for me please.
i recently brought it from ebay and not very sure now :s:
Item Name: City Bag
Colour: British Tan
serial number: in photo attached
Thank you in advance
1. There is nothing wrong with the glued-in serial number on the basic bag. Sometimes you'll find older bags where the number is missing. I think some people removed them, although they are glued in pretty securely. I've never seen and I could not imagine why anyone would take the number from one bag and put it in another.Thank you, Hyacinth, for authenticating the bag ^ post #1037 & #1040, it was the liner and inside pocket zipper that caught my attention.
I have three bags that I am hoping to receive feedback on.
1) In trolling Ebay I came across a stripped down brown vintage bag, which had its glued in serial number removed amongst other things (zipper pull, strap, hangtag.) This got me thinking about fake bags and methods used. Later I came across this NYC black bag with a glued in serial number. At first glance it looked like it might be okay, but the enlarged photos (provided by the seller) make me wonder if the serial number has been cut and pasted from another black bag. What does everyone think?

Many thanks,
Thank you all for your expertise and guidance!I have no idea if my last post worked so I will try again.i apologize if it's a duplicate. I am the buyer of thecollector629/boristhekat on eBay purse. I will put photos at the end of this post and I welcome any and all insights on it's authenticity and tips on getting the real thing in the future. My points are: the stitches are not regular, there is fraying, the right zipper stopper is not tightened completely, there is some brownish substance along the seam line there as well, and that's omitting the animal and human on the purse and inside the brown dustbag.

3. The station bag is authentic.
You're welcome!Thanks Whateve and Ledobe.
(LOVE the red Daphne you linked, Ledobe.)
It looks authentic and you are right about the date. It's hard to tell about the color. It might have been British tan.Could someone please authenticate?
Item: "Vintage 1960's Coach brown leather schoulder ba\5" I'm putting this in quotes because that is actually what the seller put as the item title!

Comments: I won this auction and received the purse. I'm putting my photos below. There is a creed but no serial number which makes me think mid-70's after they started adding creeds but before serials. The creed is stamped on a flap pocket attached to the inner front of the purse. I looked at images of the slim tote online and found some that had the pointy kisslock tips like these and some that had round, so I'm guessing either is fine. There is some darkening to parts of the leather but it looks worse in the pictures than it does in real life--although it is definitely noticeable. The back is actually pretty even colored. Any thoughts on the color? From the auction pictures I was thinking it was a darker brown, but now that I have it and have seen the outer color and the color inside the kisslock pocket, I'm thinking more British Tan. Sorry about the heavy sun glare--I can't complain though as it is melting our several feet of snow.
Thanks!
