Hi,I have a question about Coach purse crossbody straps: did Coach ever made any detachable cross body strap that has a slash connecting seam on the inside of the straps? The surface seems to be made in one whole piece but once you flip it over, you can see a seam as if there're 3 pieces that stitched together, does that make sense? Please advise as I'm worried that I might bought a counterfeit. Thanks

My new Willis has that kind of strap.

Joodlz, I have tried to find replacement straps for bags and if they are anything halfway decent end up costing MORE than the bargain bag I bought...lol. I hope you have better luck.
You might try a smooth white leather strap?

I know what you mean about replacement straps...and although I have several white bags, none had straps the right width. So I went to Salvation Army and bought a white leather belt for $1.00. A little trimming and hole punching and it will at least be functional for me til something better comes along.

They've made some straps like that going back to at least the later 1990s.

The new small Willis is the one having straps like that! Also another poppy c dot purse with strap like that,I was worried because other than the strap thingy the purse looks fine! I mean the craftsmanship and material seems authentic, hardware are heavy enuough, even seams etc... the only thing that bug me is the strap...so it's totally normal? Do you mind me asking where you got your Willis?

NO. It just means that Coach has used that design before.

As others have said, the strap is fine. Sometimes while they're making the product, they have to piece together a couple of smaller pieces in order to avoid waste and this is how they do it.

I bought my Willis at my local Coach factory store. I know it is authentic.

Well, you never know when someone will accuse you of selling a fake, but certainly
THIS is one of the strangest - I sold this and the buyer is saying it is a fake because'of the "separation" at the end of the zipper on top (all Poppy glam totes are made this way from what I have seen) and it looks "sloppy".
Original Coach tags are still attached by the way.
HELP! Please give as much details as possible to prove to this buyer that my bag is indeed authentic (or not of course!) Thank you so much.

There's nothing wrong with that bag.

Please direct the buyer here to express her concerns.

Thanks for the advice everyone, guess I over-reacted as I'm worried about getting a counterfeit. 😜 I guess because the style is not very common so I'm worry.. here she is, as you can see the stitching of the connecting pieces on the inside of the strap
