It's authentic. It's not one of the new bags made without a serial number. This one is a swingpack. Some of Coach's smaller accessories items such as swingpacks. pouches, cosmetic cases, wristlets, etc. may or may not have creeds. Those with creeds may or may not have serial numbers. Can someone please authenticate? It doesn't have a serial number but I know the newer bags don't. Thank you!

(I've been gone for most of the day and haven't read ahead. I apologize if I'm repeating an authentication that was already done as I haven't read ahead yet.)
It's authentic. In this case, the puffy creed is correct for the plant and year the bag was made.Awesome! Thank You...learning more and more...how about this one. Not sure I like how the creed is bubbled up?

I've never carried my basic bag. I think it is too small for me but I like looking at it!
I've got another semi-random question for you ladies. I was reading in another part of the thread that L plant codes are highly suspect if it was made in the US. I found a bag that was made in the US with a L plant code from 1995. I don't see anything that jumps out immediately as making the bag fake, but reading about the L plant code makes me nervous. Here's a picture of the creed.

I'm the same way Whateve, I have a beautiful red basic bag you authenticated a few years ago...I take her out occasionally, set her on the dining room table for a few days and take a long look every time I walk by. My girlfriend keeps asking me to sell it to her but I'm not quite ready to do that. I just might need this red bag one day.![]()
I was nervous about L creeds until I bought one. They have some of the same quirks as G and H creeds. It is a good sign when the plant code is slightly lower than the other digits of the creed.I've got another semi-random question for you ladies. My basic bag is burgundy and in new condition. Part of the reason I don't use her is that she survived around 35 years without a scratch and I don't want to spoil her streak. Once or twice I tried putting my things inside and hardly anything fit.I'm the same way Whateve, I have a beautiful red basic bag you authenticated a few years ago...I take her out occasionally, set her on the dining room table for a few days and take a long look every time I walk by. I love Coach red bags. I use my Berkeley but my trail bag and slim satchel compact are just to look at.I plan on rehabbing and selling most of them. Glued in serial number probably as vintage of a bag I can afford to buy. Plus they are easy to rehab. I am keeping a burgundy one for me.
I never use a red bag. But... the red station bag I found came today. Was going to sell it, until I touched it and held it and modeled it in front of the mirror. Darn.
I have carried my burgundy Basic Bag but just on quick trips to the supermarket when I only need keys, phone and credit card. It's too small for wallets and sunglasses but I'll never sell that one. They are great to rehab. I have one in tabac too and a red one on the way, and a brown one and a white one that both need work. Oh and I sold a black one and one in navy blue. I think I share maradmd's problem with buying these!I've never carried my basic bag. I think it is too small for me but I like looking at it!
I dislike sites where you have to join in order to look at listings. Can anyone authenticate this Coach nylon tote bag? I believe it is a tote bag that usually comes as gifts for purchases of Coach fragrances?
