Please read post number 1 of this thread, there's a certain format we ask posters to use when asking for authenticity opinions including information about the sale or auction listing and the seller.

The white one is genuine.

Thanks. These are all from Goodwill (there stamp is on most of the pics) and I apologize, that is the only information I have because the bidding has ended on them so I can't provide the link. I can still see them if I sign into my account because they are under purchased. I assure you that I read the entire rules. I would love to follow the exact format , but I don't have that information and is part of the reason I am on this site. I am new at buying coach bags and want to make sure they are authentic. If this is going to be a problem I can look for another authentification site. I work full time as a Tax Manager and have 5 children so I was hoping this site would be a good fit for my schedule but I certainly did not want to bother anyone. I spent a fair amount of time trying to find an app to combine my photos since I am only allowed to post one photo on my mobile device. I am going back to read the rules again since my job is to research law and know the rules I want to make sure I did not miss anything. Up until now everyone was extremely plesant and helpful but I take offense to getting reprimanded on a website that in part is supported by the users and by the purchase user like me make on the site. If this site was only meant for EBay buyers and experienced coach buyer I wish that had been stated in the rules. I also had purchase some bags at our local secondhand stores that I had intended on getting authenticated but now that I know that is not preferred I won't. Like I said, sorry to bother you and I will start searching else where. I appreciate your help.

Here are the rules that apply to my situation and I believe I followed them so could you please explain how I did not follow the rules. I do not know the name, there is not a link available, and I provided all the pictures I had including the style number as specified below. I believe there are a lot of posts in this thread that do not follow the rules, but mine was not one of them.

If the bag in question is not on an auction site, please use the following:

Item Name (if you know it):
Link (if available):
Then attach any photos (all authentication must include photos.)
Please be sure to include a clear readable photo of the creed stamp and serial number from inside the bag or accessory if there is one, and the bag's measurements when the bag is an older or vintage leather Coach.

I only looked at one post and half-noticed the waternark on one set of photos but wasn't able to read it. I'm sorry if my request upset you but without knowing and without you stating where you bought the bags the natural assumption was that they were bought on Ebay or another auction site.

When I'm trying to figure out if a bag is authentic my focus is on the bag, not on any background or any watermark. There could be a photo of George Clooney in his birthday suit in the same frame and I probably wouldn't notice it. My apologies for upsetting you and I won't involve myself in any more of your authentications.

Could someone please authenticate this Coach bag?
My sister bought this at a yard sale for $2 :)
Approx. 10.5"w x 6.25"h x 2.75"d. Strap drop 23.5 to rings.
1996 Multi-Zip Bag #9974, yes? (I have 2 in my collection...)
As always, thanks in advance!

Color is distorted on 2nd pic...late afternoon sun...at least it came out for a while!
From 1999 #6136, but haven't found a name. Inquiring minds need to know :)
Thanks again, in advance!

I don't have a name for it either. it's from the Greenwich Twill line but none of them are in my catalogs. My guess would be something like "Greenwich Twill East-West Zip" but that's just a guess.

Just so you know, if you purchased from Goodwill through ebay, links are still clickable and viewable in the completed/sold listings for at least 90 days, and often for many more days.

If they're from Goodwill's online site, they're still viewable for a while though I don't know how long.

There could be a photo of George Clooney in his birthday suit in the same frame and I probably wouldn't notice it.
THAT I would have noticed!

To add a bit more information as to why we request what might seem like extraneous information for authentications, there are valid reasons.

When an item is listed online and only the pictures are posted, we don't know whether those pictures belong to the seller of the item being authenticated, whether the seller stole the pictures from another seller or whether the poster is submitting pictures that they believe to be the same style as what they have in their possession and want authenticated.

Additionally, in seeing the listing, we can look at the seller's other items, her history, her feedback and her reputation. In the Coach AT (authenticate this) section, we do often do more of a background check than other brand specialists and you get more bang for your (non) buck.

I can't tell you how many times we've been asked to authenticate something and the pictures in the listing were stolen from another seller's listing, or the pictures are all stolen stock pictures taken from Coach's website. In those cases, we might see an authentic bag but who knows what you'll receive if you buy the item.

Or we look at a listing of a fake from a seller who has a long history of selling fakes. We will comment on that.

Up until now everyone was extremely plesant and helpful but I take offense to getting reprimanded on a website that in part is supported by the users and by the purchase user like me make on the site.
I'm not sure what you mean when you say the website is supported by users. If it's the website itself you have an issue with, that needs to be taken up with admin.

In our defense, we ARE being helpful and the information requested of you isn't intended as a reprimand. (Other brands on TPF won't even respond to your question if the correct pictures aren't shown, if the pictures aren't well focused, if the listing has ended or if you don't participate in other parts of the forum other than using free authentication services.)

The services, advice and expertise offered her are given free of charge and on our own free time. We get absolutely no compensation or benefit -- not from TPF and not from any online site -- other than knowing that we can help prevent the sale of a fake, reassure a buyer that they got a genuine Coach or to help a seller fight a buyer who accused her of selling a fake when the item isn't fake.

We come here on our own time, fitting it in between jobs, family, homes, errands and "real life."

Again, comments made here aren't intended to insult anyone, but rather to try to point out why we ask what we ask for.

Can someone tell me if this coach wristlet is real or fake? The blank leather patch inside is making me think that it is fake, but then I read wristlets normally don't have a serial number and/or creed.

It looks fake. I can't think of a reason Coach would put a blank leather patch inside a bag, but I see lots of fakes like that. I've never seen that lining on a Coach. It looks like something I've seen on fake Pradas.
