From Goodwill yesterday.
Approx. 6”w x 8”h x 2”d Strap drop 18” to rings.
I have NO clue what this is...but I think it's something special...even has anchors!
Name, age, serial number would be greatly appreciated...thanks in advance, as always!

I don't know what it is, but it sure is a cutie!!

Morning all, Please have a look at this seller. She writes that this bag is in amazing shape for a bag from the 1960s.. with the creed J8Y, so either a PATRICIA from 1998 or one of those questionable J8Y prefixes.
most of her bags are 1990s, which she writes are Vintage Bonnie Cashins 1960s..I wrote to her, and said it is in great shape for a 1998 bag,BUT, it wasn't from the 1960s...she didn't appreciate that...But, I think it misrepresents an Item..Item not as described..when you call a 1998 COACH a 1960s Cashin...Thanks! Enjoy your Sunday!!

Seller: debbieb208
item:Patricia's Legacy
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=231149548095&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123

It's fake. Besides the fake J8Y prefix, the inside pocket doesn't go all the way across. Report it!

ETA: And she has had offers!

Very interesting! I was just looking at her items at Etsy and was thinking there is more than one fake handbag. I assume the soap is authentic. ()

https://www.etsy.com/search/vintage/bags_and_purses?q=gutsy+girl&ship_to=US

I agree with Whateve, the Patricia's Legacy is fake. The whole inside pocket and zipper package is wrong. And the seller is deceiving potential buyers by listing her Coaches as Bonnie Cashin bags. She often doesn't even bother to show a creed photo either.

DO NOT BUY FROM debbieb208

LOL! She has nearly 100 current and completed listings, more than 1/2 of which are called "Bonnie Cashin" but made at least 20 years after BC's death.

I'm curious about this 1999 "Bonnie Cashin" Willis from debbieb208. The creed looks funny.

Here's the creed:

.
Yes, the creed is wrong for that plant. The font is too thick. The numbers are too close together. I believe it is fake.

After all this talk about debbieb208 aka Gutsy Girl, she has relisted the same fake Patricia legacy bag that originally started the discussion.

Last night, the bag was relisted and since removed and it's been relisted again.

So after having been contacted last Sunday, told the item is fake, listings removed by ebay for being counterfeit, listings reported on Etsy for fake and being directed to TPF, debbieb208 knowingly relists the same fake!! And at $195 plus $12 shipping, she's purposely trying to fool her buyers.

And in case it poofs for the 4th (???) time, here are the pictures.

Ok, now GUTLESS DEB is harrasing me on my ebay site..the 2 fake bags I reported were not taken off etsy, and I don't know if they kept my identity hidden when I reported them.. So,after the 2nd email,I told her not to contact me, that I was just trying to give her helpful info that a creed with an "8" means 1998 and is not from 1960s..( I didnt say that the Patricia was fake, or that I reported it !! ...) Then she comes back with.."I want to see authentication for your bags" Bring it on... except she doesn't believe in TPF..maybe she wants to take them to COACH & have the nice 18 year old SA authenticate them. Ugh!!.I need to block her emails!!
Question is: How is she getting away with keeping all those fake bags on etsy & ebay??..BTW, she believes it was ME that keeps reporting her..so she wrote that the rules should apply to everyone, completely true..right I had a 1996 bag listed as vintage..mea culpa..(I changed the listing to read near vintage)
I did not have a fake bag listed & I did not say it was from the 1960s.. I wrote back " thank you, I appreciate it when someone catches my mistake..peace light & blessings.. "
I am the fallgirl here! I realize I should never have written her..I know~lesson learned.. The angry defensive sellers are the ones with something to hide...PLEASE keep reporting her fakes on ETSY & EBAY!!! too stressfull...thanks all, SHERI

Can't you report her for harrassment? I'm not that familiar with it but I've heard you can do that.

Omg, I'm sorry for your stress. She is going to stand by her stuff just like my consignment store lady (who doesn't believe in TPF either). It really stinks that she is misrepresenting a bag to be 20/30 years older than it is....but it's outrageous she is also misrepresenting a FAKE. I really can't wrap my brain around ANY of it!!

There's a "report this message" button on every ebay message. REPORT HER A$$!! (Also, report her fakes on ebay but don't respond to the messages.)

A little OT, but it really burns me up to have stuff misrepresented like that. I found a bag for $3 at goodwill, learned how to rehab it, got it authenticated, and then eventually resold it on ebay. I don't remember for how much, maybe $15-$30? It had some issues, and I pointed them out in my listing.

The issues were not huge, but distinctive enough that when I stumbled upon THE SAME BAG being resold months later, I knew exactly that it had been mine. It had been bought by someone who is also a rehabber AND (and a member of tpf!), and is now being represented as a rare sample bag that was part of a private collection that goes back several decades, back to the Cashin era!

No, no it's not! It's just my little bag from the 80's, and they made tons of them!

It's not that the reseller is selling it for A LOT more than what I sold it for, (I couldn't care less about that, I got what I wanted out of it). It's that someone is going to plunk down over $100 for something they think is super rare, and it isn't! Charge what you want for the bag, just don't lie and say it's some rare thing that your great Aunt Tilly owned back in 1963!

right!?! Just be truthful. It's not a lot to ask. You saw your sold bag relisted as 'rare'...... OH (insert appropriate curse word here)!! So, did it sell??

I'm not sure. For my own sanity, I did not save/bookmark the sale. I did, however, block their alter-ego from buying from me again. This person buys under one id, and sells under another. I know a lot of sellers have separate accounts, (probably helps with the accounting), but after I saw this, it just made it seem even more shady. They have bought several bags from me over the last few years. The name seemed familiar, a little searching around, one thing led to another, yadda yadda yadda, you know the rest.

There's enough opportunity out there for honest business. There's no need to be sketchy about it!

Oh, and if that wasn't enough...after they bought my bag? They never even left me feedback!
