It's style number #7170 and it was called Skinny Make-up Kit. I don't know how long they made these but this information was in a flyer that came with a circa 1980 bag. I don't think it came with a hangtag originally. Some of the 90s cosmetic cases had a hangtag. Is that burgundy?

I believe it is fake. I think 1996 is too early for a Bleecker bag. As far as I know, the K plant was only used for China. I've seen several fake K creeds with a similar font but they had the J4K prefix.

It's fake. It has silver grommets with brass buckles. The zipper pull isn't stitched all the way around. The inside pocket is too big.

I actually have one of those small skinny ziptop blue striped ticking lined makeup cases that was given to me in the 1970s..I never knew I owned a COACH before I got my first vintage bag in about 15 years ago. I didn't wear makeup,so I asked mom what I should do with it? she told me to use it for my drawing pencils..I found it a few months ago & cleaned it up. It didnt have a hangtag.
WOW, I actually had a COACH when I was a teenager!!..who knew?:shrugs:

It's a genuine Saddle Bag Spectator from around 1989-1990. I don't have the exact style number, it's probably 6851 but that's just a guess.

You're welcome. I saw a license plate today that started with J4K and I immediately thought fake - I've got creeds on the brain!

You're welcome! It is clear and in the 70s here in sunny California.

Turkish leather is beautiful. I'm working on a 2001 made in China bag. The leather is unbelievably soft and smells wonderful!

I've seen one or two *5J- and *6J- bags that are either genuine or that have fake outlet or Final Sale stamps or might have been fakes "returned" to a Coach store for credit. This fake Duffle Sac along with what Whateve mentioned also has a problem on the bottom of the bag. It's definitely fake.

Are you referring to the placement of the seam on the bottom piping?

On another topic, do you think this pre serial number bag with front and back seams would have the same style number 9085 as the duffle sac?
