Well I just bought this bag on ebay with very little info to go on as the price seemed good and time ran out. I guess it is a gamble. I think it looks like a Patricia's Legacy, but the measurements given are not the same (11.5 by 10.5 by 4 3/8 on the Coach website). Can anyone offer an opinion, even with so little to go on? When I can I'll take pictures of the creed and tag. Thanks so much

It's impossible to authenticate it or even know what style it is without a clear readable photo of the creed and serial number and a clear photo of the inside showing the full width of the inside pocket. If you can take more photos when you get it we can take another look. We need to see the entire top of the inside pocket including the outside edges. If by "tag" you mean the small leather hangtag, don't bother with a photo of it, it wouldn't prove or disprove anything.

Also look at the backs of the strap buckles to see if there are any stampings, and take photos if there are.

I saw that one too! It was in my watch list and when I went to check it, it was ended and relisted as a BIN.

The seller got back to me and told me that the bag is stamped with H9N-9951, and that it was made in Mexico. I'm sorry I can't show the creed so it may not be possible for you to authenticate. I really appreciate all of the information on these pages...there is so much to learn!

That is a valid creed number but we still need to see a picture of it to determine if the font and wording are correct.

Well, I decided to let it go and not make an offer. It is genuine per tPF.
*sigh* I have bought waaay too many bags this past week, with a few more in the bid process.

Although, my therapist assures me that buying and rehabbing Coach bags is a healthy stress reliever. Much better than drugs or alchohol! :graucho:

The style number isn't clear, but the seller says it is 9934. I don't recognize this purse at all but it isn't 9934. Is there a style that looks like this? The beginning of the creed is missing the "o" in No. The authentic creeds I have in my files with the H5D prefix don't have this error.

I can't find any style that matches this one. The Manor Bag style 9977 is close but the too-long top handle length and especially the way the ends of the top handle are shaped and stitched isn't right, and neither is the shape of the bag or front flap.

The creed especially the Coach logo and the serial number don't match other *5D- pics I have but DO match one that I have listed as Fake. The creed Coach logo in the fake has too-large letters.

Below are a Manor Bag, the FAKE H5D-5130 creed from my files, and a genuine H5D-9981 creed.

Thanks. I thought of the Manor Bag too, but the proportions weren't the same.

ETA: someone at ebay must be reading this thread. It's been removed.
