Hi-- this is the 5th time I am trying to post this. I'm sorry but I'm on my phone and it won't save my post to go between screens in order to fill in all the necessary info. I'm trying to authenticate a listing on eBay. I know this is not the right format and I deeply apologize.

It has a long title but it is a twill bag with a large suede butterfly.

That's gorgeous! I don't see any problems with it. Coach described the fabric as denim.

No worries, I know how difficult it is to do anything complicated on a phone.

Thank you! I was at one of my local thrift stores and found this same bag (a little soiled and am hoping I can clean it up) but when I searched for the style number I came up with a different bag first-- 2 listings on ebay actually both by the same person, for a Madison cross body swing pack with a rather confusing description including both 4992 and 49992 and no photos of the creed patch for me to determine which was the real number. Anyway this bag is pretty stunning IRL and am excited by my find :)

That is a gorgeous bag but I would not even know where to start to clean it up.
Between the whitish canvas and the colorful appliques, YIKES!

It's a genuine Baxter Bag from around 1991. I'm not sure why you think someone replaced the zipper? If it's because of the color, all the Baxters had those dark blue industrial-style zippers. There aren't any indications of either of the zippers being replaced.

You're welcome! I'm not surprised that you couldn't find much by searching for the style number since it was a limited edition. I'd love to see it when you get it fixed up.

That 9072 Allison Flap is one of a tiny handful of bags, all the same style, that seem to actually have been made at a Costa Rica plant with a T code. It seems to have been open only for a few months.

V is also a valid plant code for Mexico. The bags seem genuine.

2001 Legacy Small Hobo #9059? I also have this bag in red and brown :)
