I didn't realize she had shoepolish until she had been soaking awhile..at that point the only thing to do is throw them in the washing machine with towels(my poor rehab towels)..the towels absorb the polish, but its really a pita..and a waste of water!! 3-4 cycles!!..then more scrubbing..then more rinsing! I have rehabbed 2 black duffle sacs with black polish in this past couple weeks...yuck! the bags didnt appear to have been polished..It must be OLD polish..then there is the fun task of using a toothpick to clean out the verdigris PLUS shoe polish from under the brass grommet holes..Holey Moley..Fortunately,I've been rewatching/listening to TREME &THE SOPRANOS & other great HBO shows on my 30 day Trial Amazon Prime while rehabbing ~wuffing &picking..and cursing..My goal is to get these bags done during my yearly amazon binge!! It keeps me going!!! But then I went & bought a few more bags , so I'm not getting to the bottom of the pile too quickly...I know you understand this...!
Whenever the rehabs get too challenging the best thing to do is buy more bags! I'm down to the lost causes now but I'm not ready to give up on them. I don't think I've ever gotten a bag covered with shoe polish. Now that I've said that, the next one probably will be!

I've been relatively good lately! On ebay, I bought 3 bags in September and only one in October. It's become too much of a chore figuring out which bag to carry since there are way too many choices! The bag I just got is one I've been obsessed with ever since I saw it on the Wayback. It has that delicious Coach smell.

The first is genuine.

The second, style 4153, has an invalid plant code and a top zipper pull that doesn't look right. The ends of the drawstring are also damaged and the correct end tabs are missing.

The seller also has another questionable "Coach", style 4151 in their current listings. This one has the wrong font in the serial number and several mistakes in the creed stamp itself when compared to the stamps in genuine bags from the same month, year and plant.

I DON'T recommend buying from mm707me

Thank you SO much for this information, Hyacinth. I would never have known. :flowers::flowers::flowers::flowers::flowers:

AFAIK, for the last couple of years, Iadmireyoo has essentially been by herself in authenticating Gucci. Papertiger does the very vintage items but two others have dropped off and I suspect Iadmireyoo is burning out in working alone.
Thanks for that. I can barely keep up with this thread as a mostly bystander much less the time and effort put in every day by you wonderful authenticators (again thank you!) I can't imagine running a thread without help. :amazed:

Unfortunately, this WAS a NEW purchase..I've gotten at least 3 bags with shoepolish..the worst was the vitamin e oil & shoe WAX combo..anyway,shes done!!..ya just can't tell what these jamokes put on their bags..saddle soap isn't much better!!!..I'll check out your new purchase on CHAT, before I get slapped here!! CHEERS Y'all!!

Last, but not least...this one may be a long shot, but it was CHEAP...
Approx. 11"w x 14.25"h x 2.25"d. The business card pocket doesn't really bulge outward on the sides...it's the camera. I have a Coach daytimer cover that also has a KRAUSE binder, so I took a chance for $.75. Haven't found one like it anywhere...any and all info is much appreciated. Thanks so much for looking at all of these!
