I have bought a Coach Court bag in tan. It really does not look real to me. The leather seems to have a coating on it, rather than tanned leather. See image of where there is a little bit peeled off. The creed says made in United States and the Serial number seems odd to me. Inside the bag seems to have been dyed after having been made, as there is a lighter bit where colour has not reached near the seams (see photo of internal zip and see the lighter interior at the edge).

I just looked again and you can see pen marks on the borders of it. Seems like there was probably a surface pen mark there and someone tried to "remove" it.

The first is genuine.

The second, style 4153, has an invalid plant code and a top zipper pull that doesn't look right. The ends of the drawstring are also damaged and the correct end tabs are missing.

The seller also has another questionable "Coach", style 4151 in their current listings. This one has the wrong font in the serial number and several mistakes in the creed stamp itself when compared to the stamps in genuine bags from the same month, year and plant.

This listing has ended but I wanted to check on the authenticity of the bag. I am betting that the listing was ended early because it may have sold on Etsy.

Seller, debbieb208 (ebay) aka GutsyGirls (Etsy) has a long history of selling fakes.

Is this bag authentic?

I didn't realize she had shoepolish until she had been soaking awhile..at that point the only thing to do is throw them in the washing machine with towels(my poor rehab towels)..the towels absorb the polish, but its really a pita..and a waste of water!! 3-4 cycles!!..then more scrubbing..then more rinsing! I have rehabbed 2 black duffle sacs with black polish in this past couple weeks...yuck! the bags didnt appear to have been polished..It must be OLD polish..then there is the fun task of using a toothpick to clean out the verdigris PLUS shoe polish from under the brass grommet holes..Holey Moley..Fortunately,I've been rewatching/listening to TREME &THE SOPRANOS & other great HBO shows on my 30 day Trial Amazon Prime while rehabbing ~wuffing &picking..and cursing..My goal is to get these bags done during my yearly amazon binge!! It keeps me going!!! But then I went & bought a few more bags , so I'm not getting to the bottom of the pile too quickly...I know you understand this...!:laugh:

AFAIK, for the last couple of years, Iadmireyoo has essentially been by herself in authenticating Gucci. Papertiger does the very vintage items but two others have dropped off and I suspect Iadmireyoo is burning out in working alone.

It's fake. That's a perfect example of what we mean when we say the inside pocket zipper doesn't go all the way across. There is sort of a frame around the zipper because the counterfeiters didn't get the right size zipper. The pull is wrong too.

Did you see her description? According to her, the bag was made in the 60s! I sure hope she didn't sell it.
