AUTHENTICATE this COACH!

I've been purchasing Coach purses and other designers for years and never really had a question about authenticity until today. Ugh.

I was in TJ Maxx and came across a lovely Coach purse in a purple I LOVE! I know that TJM sells real Coach but I think this one is fake. They had this same purse in other colors as well. I didn't stop to question it in the store, but once I got home, my gut started wondering. I paid $179 for it.

My concerns are:
No serial number (OK I JUST FOUND THAT LITTLE SLIP INSIDE THE POCKET. THE # IS NO.F1482F33393)
It has the new logo
Can't really find anything online for it
On the label, where there should be the letter "N" in the sentences, there is a letter "K" instead. Now this could have been the defect if it weren't for the other stuff.

It's funny that you mention that bag and the creed sans serial number because I just saw it at TJ's yesterday and if I could have gotten stealth pictures, I would have.

I think this new change by Coach is going to make it much easier for the counterfeiters and make authentication more difficult.

From a personal seller. This is for a black large poppy. How does the tag look?

We need to see photos of the entire bag, not just the creed patch.

It's probably okay. Is there a zipper pocket of the outside of the side of the bag you didn't show?

When the front and back of the bag are different, it's helpful to show both sides.

It's authentic. At 13 years old, you aren't going to see a glut of listings or pictures.

We've posted repeatedly that finding an item in a google search isn't an accurate way of determining authenticity.

Thanks BB! I was looking online to compare the stitching. I never think one way or the other without TPF authenticators!

It looks good.

Yes, it is fake. The font on the creed is too thick and the style number is wrong. It is interesting that the counterfeiters got the number in the right category since this looks like it is trying to be #9806, the equestrian slim bucket. The strap looks almost correct except that it is too pointed at the bottom. The bag on etsy is a drawstring.

I believe she is genuine??
She has been repaired by previous owner, Strap buckle & leather holder NOT original, also,leather attaching strap to bag has been repaired..
I'm not sure if I had this authenticated, its been at the bottom of my rehab pile,
I've been unable to find this style/shape in the Catalogues..
Spectator CITY BAG -like, but larger and RECTANGULAR..
Please to help me find out if this is GENUINE & what the Style is called???

DON'T SPEND ANY MORE TIME ON IT.

It wouldn't surprise me if that was the actual strap and leather trim that came with the bag, thoese details are often found on fakes: the leather tabs on the sides where the strap rings attach to are wrong, there should never be a brass "keeper" next to the buckle, they should always be leather on older all-leather bags. Coach bags usually don't come apart at the strap mountings. The turnlock shape is just a tiny bit "off" as well. Nothing I can pin down but when I look at it, it's not quite right.

It's trying to be a Convertible Clutch but the shape of the flap is wrong and so is the strap, it should be detachable.

And I can't emphasize this often enough - read the creed. "Scrtches" is missing the letter "a". Sorry.
