Out of curiosity, is there a running list of eBay sellers to generally stay away from for Coach bags?

No, because sellers can change their names. Or like in this case, they can relocate to another website under a different ID. Publishing lists of people who can't be trusted can also create legal problems.

The best thing to do is to ask here first and to always search the main Coach forum or the search link at the main tPF forum for the seller's ID, and for Ebay sellers, always search Toolhaus.org
http://www.toolhaus.org/
for their ID.

Keep in mind that tPF's Search doesn't recognise anything but letters and numbers, so sellers who use other characters in their ID such as dashes, asterisks, etc won't come up in a search unless someone's posted about them here without using the characters. In other words, if you're searching here for " station_85 " you may not find as much as you would if you tried " station 85 " or " station85 " as long as someone who posted about the seller made sure to post all possible variations of their ID and allowed for any characters that the forum search wouldn't recognise.

I've never seen a bag with backwards numbers and writing, is this a fake or a mistake?

Both.

First of all, any "Coach" with an NT-4903 serial number is always fake. That's one of the most frequently used fake numbers in history, and I strongly recommend that you save the links to my Fake Coach Numbers list here at tPF or the Daria48 Fake Coach Serial Numbers Guide at Ebay for reference:

Second - when everything is backwards in a photo, the photo itself has probably been flipped. But in this case it doesn't make any difference, forward or backward that bag's still a bad fake. Please report.

Now if you add the URL for the Salearea Guides that are posted by a fellow tPF member and that I helped research, you'll have the full set:

Ahh, okay that's what I figured. I would think having an official black list could potentially have ethical/legal implications.

Nice find! :smile1:

The official name is just Kristin Leather Tote

ETA - Is that the Mushroom color? It looks like it in most of the photos, but the one of the patch looks lighter.

Thanks, Hyacinth...I think Mushroom is probably right...a neutral beige-y color. The patch is darker IRL...matches the outside. Found in the general purse department (not behind the jewelry counter)...Really nice price too...minus a GW coupon (with other items) $9.99! The strap edges are a little worn, but fix-able...in great overall condition.

Holy crap! That was a great price! They probably thought it was fake. Good for you!

The lining looks pink in the photos - I have a Satchel in Mushroom and the lining is a bit more peach-y but maybe they tweaked the colors a bit, mine was made in a different year. I love that Mushroom color, it's a great neutral that you can use all year round.

And I'm amazed at what you paid for it. We need to start arranging some tPF Shopping junkets down to your GW stores!
