I've been looking on the net for photos of an authentic Julieanne python and one thing I did notice is that the ring on the end of the clasp that holds the leather links is too rounded and too large. On the authentic bag it's not quite as "round" and not that big.

Probably means nothing, just my eyes. Seeing that other bag that the "employee" gave you and the fact that she worked for Coach is a really good sign, also a good sign if your bag is "lifting" on some of the scales. If it's real you got a great bag and I am jealous, I think they sell for over $2000!!

That's true. I hadn't seen that photo before. The colors on that bag look a little different too. This is the stock photo I found, and all of the details in this photo look more like the bag I purchased.ImageUploadedByPurseForum1393645170.442917.jpg

it's hard to go by color, because I have seen the same bag look different (color-wise) in different photos depending on lighting, monitor, background, etc.
If you buy a lot of current Coach bags or see and touch them in legit stores, you probably have a good feel for authenticity. There are sites where you can get your bag authenticated ($$) maybe for something of that quality and value it would pay to do that, especially if you plan to re-sell it in the future..just sayin!
It is gorgeous though.

Yes, you are certainly right about that. I have had a lot of trouble reproducing the color of certain bags accurately. Sometimes the stock photos look great too, and the bag is a disappointment in real life. Are there any authentication sites that you can recommend from experience? I think it would be worth it for me, because there is a good chance I will be selling this bag in the future. It is beautiful and unique, but it's so delicate that I think I would be afraid to actually use it!

Not sure the CCs on this bag just look funny to me. Thanks for the help in advance.
The bag in the listing looks good.

However lurkers should be aware that that style and similar (5659, 5660 and 5661) have all been faked and some fakes are very close.

No problem and welcome!

Once she sends the creed picture, come back and post it. So far, there aren't any obvious problems but the style has been "well-faked" so we like to be careful.
Thanks so much! ! I've got the picture of the creed!

Authenticate 4 u has a good rep and they turn around fast. Email authentications cost $7.50. They are based in Scotland so you need to allow for time zone difference.

Sorry, it's a complete and proveable FAKE.

First of all, genuine full-size Coach handbags will ALWAYS have creed stamps and serial numbers. The only styles that might not are small bags like Swingpacks, some Crossbodys, and some listed as Minis. The one you bought would always have a stamped creed patch and serial number if it was a genuine Coach bag.

Second, the clear plastic on the straps or handles - Coach NEVER uses clear or opaque plastic wrap.

Third, the paperwork included with the bag is completely fake and several pieces known to be used ONLY by counterfeiters. It would have helped to see the side of the price tag showing all the names and UPC codes but in this case it's not necessary. And the "Registration Card" included with the bag hasn't been used by Coach since the end of 2006, so why is it in a bag supposedly made almost eight years after those cards were discontinued?

Fourth, the Coach stamp on the front pf the bag is very badly done, the edges are rough and uneven, and it's NOT how Coach stamps their newer bags

I hope Malaysia has very strong laws against selling or distributing counterfeit trademarked merchandise, because the distributors had to know they were NOT selling genuine Coach products. I also urge the authorities to shut down and prosecute anyone else connected with this fraud.

Comments: (please be real, this is one of my must have bags. i think it is, but i need to double check. thanks!)

The seller made a mistake when she read and posted the style number, it's actually style 15443, not 15448. It looks ok to me but more opinions are welcome.
