I doubt that is possible. 15 years ago would have been 1999, much too late to have a NYC creed. There are plenty of catalogs available from that period. as well as actual purses, and the fact remains that none of us have ever seen this exact style before.

If you contact Jed Winokur at Coach, he might even be interested in it. I don't know exactly how to contact him. He has an ebay account: http://www.ebay.com/usr/nyc_vintage_coach?_trksid=p2053788.m1543.l2754
Hi, I did get a reply from Jed:

We don't usually identify bags outside of the Coach collection but the staff took a look today at your photos. We don't have this bag in the collection however we have two bags that are very similar with different closures. They are the:

Binocular Bag, 1990 (style #9853)
Canterbury Bag, 1994 (Style #9948)

The Binocular Bag has a springlock closure.
The Canterbury Bag has a turnlock closure.

We weren't able to find the bag quickly perusing the Coach catalogs so I think this bag is likely a concept bag that was not produced (hence no numeric markings below the story patch).

Hope this info is helpful and enjoy your bag

Sounds like a concept bag to me!

Thanks for all your help everyone!

That's wonderful news! I wonder what he meant by "we don't usually identify bags outside of the Coach collection?"

The first one is fake. No authentic creeds ever start with the letters "TN." The zipper end sticking out is also a clue.

The second one needs a clear creed picture in order to authenticate.

Could someone please authenticate this Coach bag?
One of 2 from GW a few days ago...
Approx. 9"w x 9"h x 4.5"d...strap was unceremoniously chopped by previous owner...7" to top of bag :(
But I guess it's a 1997 Soho Waverly Bag #4157, yes?
As always, thanks in advance!

And this one also from GW?
Approx. 9.25"w x 10"h x 4.75"d. Strap drop 12" to rings
1998 Tribeca Shopper #9098, yes?
Thanks again, as always!

Very exciting...congratulations! :smile1:

I reported the fake. I always check here before I report to be certain.

I requested a picture of the creed for #2 bag -but my experience lately is to expect no response, especially since it has bids.
The feet on that bag are ones I am unfamiliar with.

Thanks, Whateve!

The first one from consignonline is fake. The second listing seems okay although a picture of the bag's creed would confirm.

Woo hoo! Congrats on your find then :smile1: I'm surprised he didn't mention wanting it for the archives. He probably means that they don't look at fakes, because I'm sure they get that a lot!
