Well, didn't win the gray Coach I wanted to rehab. Probably just as well. Found this one to bid on. Looks okay, then doesn't look okay so asking the experts to please authenticate. (Just noticed serial number on creed is different from number in item title. That solves one mystery!)

The bag in the listing seems okay however the seller, vintage affair ( vintage_affair) violates ebay's rules with her authenticity disclaimer. She states, "The bag shows quality but I cannot guarantee it." Sellers are required to know their items are authentic or they can't list it.

Her title shows the style number as 16808 yet the creed shows 16931. It looks like the seller found bags of a similar style and decided that it must be 16808. (It's not. They're similar but not the same.)

I don't recommend this seller though. In addition to her disallowed authenticity disclaimer, she has another listing for two fake Coach bags. In this listing, she freely ADMITS they're fake: "They aren't the real deal and are in someone what rough shape"

Thank you so much for your thorough answer to my question. I couldn't find an image that matched the bag using the style number in the title. If the seller is that careless, and selling fakes, well, just might pass on it. Bought a fake before I found this site. Got a refund right away when I asked the seller to pay the return shipping. Still have the bag. Don't know what to do with it.

The bag in the listing is the Kristin hippie, the number in the title is for the larger Kristin hobo. I wonder if she was intentionally attempting to mislead buyers into thinking it was the larger bag.

Could very well be. Measurements were left out of the description. I don't want the larger bag. Wonder what the response would be if I ask for the size? Hmmm.

I don't think the seller is being deceptive. I think she just doesn't have a clue. Both are Kristins and to the novice, they can look alike. Just as she was "honest" in describing the listings for fakes as such even though she's in violation of the policies, it's not a purposeful act.

But still, she's a seller and whether she read the rules or not, she's (electronically) signed ebay's user agreement stating that she understands them.

She has over 1000 feedback ratings at 100% and been an eBay member since 2000. Maybe she is just unsure? Afraid to be wrong if she absolutely guarantees an item? But she doesn't even want to describe what material the purse is made from.

Darn, it's a cute bag. Unfortunately so are almost all the other zillion Coach bags.

They made a lot of Kristins. It shouldn't be hard to find another one.

Plant herbs in it!

Could someone please authenticate this Coach wallet?
From GW...approx. 7.5"w x 4"h x .75d closed. 7.5" square opened flat.
Is this a Chelsea something-or-other wallet? Any idea how old?
Any info is much appreciated...thanks, as always, in advance!
