You have nothing to apologize for. It's the seller's responsibility to know before listing and with 100% certainty that every item is authentic. If they can't confirm authenticity or if it's inconclusive as to authenticity, it cannot be listed at all.

Refer the seller, chrisanddave321 here. Watch to make sure it doesn't get relisted.
If this listing is any indication of whether chrisanddave321 has integrity, the answer is a resounding NO!!

chrisanddave321 has relisted the bag AFTER finding out that it's fake and after the previous listings for the same fake were removed by ebay.

They sent me a message and conceded they were wrong about the bag being authentic....and they re-listed it after they sent me the message!

So here's the deal I believe it to be a vintage Coach seasonal handbag. I am 100% it's authentic as confirmed by a local Coach store but my issue is I can't locate a authentic Coach strap and was hoping someone could recommend something that may fit?

It's very large made of knit with suede interior, also what should I price it at if I decide to sell it?

Although they seem to have gotten it right in this case, it's ill-advised to get authenticity information from Coach. Company policy prohibits Coach's employees from authenticating, they aren't trained to do so and most employees weren't even born when some bags they're asked about were made.

Having a "valid" serial number, even one that seems to match the style of bag it's on doesn't make a bag authentic. And that's what they often do; they look up the style number or serial number and pronounce it either authentic or fake. However not all style numbers are in their computer system, bags made prior to 1994 don't have serial numbers that can be looked up and many fakes have seemingly "correct" numbers.

Your bag does appear to be authentic but it's not vintage. Vintage is generally used to describe bags that are 20+ years old. Your bag was made in 2003 and at just 11 years old, it's still a baby!

I agree with BeenBurned, no one should EVER have any bags "authenticated" at a Coach store, they're wrong at least 80 percent of the time judging by all the comments we've read here and at other fotums, including Ebay. Read the Salearea Guide on Authenticity Guides for more info. And read all six for ACCURATE information on Coach products:
http://search.reviews.ebay.com/members/salearea?uqt=g

Straps that fit Coach bags can be bought through Silver-Coach at Ebay or Bonanza, or through Mautto.com. Make sure you get the right hardware color and that the clip opening is large enough for the O- or D-ring the strap is supposed to clip to if the strap needs to have clips. Silver-Coach "mini-clip" straps usually won't fit medium to large Coach bags, contact the seller for exact measurements if you're not sure. If you Search the main Coach forum here at tPF for "replacement strap" you'll find plenty of links and info.

BTW,the guitar strap you found is much too wide for any handbag, purse straps shouldn't be wider than one inch. And what would you use for a clip? You may be better off just listing it as not having any strap, showing pictures of where the strap clips or attaches to on both sides (which would have helped in your pictures too BTW) and let the buyer find their own replacement. I don't even have a photo of that style so recommending a strap is impossible with the photos you posted since they don't show any of the important details.

One photo seems to show that there are Soho-style buckles at each side but you need to measure the buckle opening to see what would fit, and there should be a close-up photo showing the buckle details.

We aren't allowed to speculate on what something should be sold for, please see the Forum rules in Post # 1 of this thread. That's dependent on the seller, the potential buyers and the market. If there aren't any Completed listings on Ebay showing what the same style sold for, you'll just have to ask what you feel you need to make for the bag.
