Good afternoon! I have a few bags I've been going through (mostly for rehabs) that should probably be confirmed before I put in the work. (Learned my lesson when I spent days working on a bag, then realizing, by reading through this wonderful resource, that it was not the real McCoy!)

1. Green Station (I think...)

Edit:
L=9.5
H=10
D=3
strap length=39"

This one's in rough shape, but hoping there's still some life in there!

Last one, at least for now. I think these will keep me busy for awhile!

These three are authentic.

This one I'm not sure of. The font of the numbers is different from every other authentic creed I've seen. There is another one on ebay with the same font: http://www.ebay.com/itm/281450701907?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT I would think that if it were an authentic font, we would have seen a lot more of them by now.

I'd have to say that if you can't find anything wrong with the bag, it could be authentic. You should try to compare every detail with an authentic station bag from the same era.

I was a little concerned about the font myself. It seems really "round" in comparison to most; almost looks like numerals from the same font as the "No", with the serifs. Everything else I can see (or know to look for!), seemed to fit. But, you're right, those numerals are off.

Thanks so much, even less than good news is appreciated, 'cuz it's more than I had!

(I still like the color so maybe it'll make a handy Nook storage bag - in home use only!!) :smile1:

Is this an authentic Sutton swingpack? Thanks so much for taking a look!

It also doesn't have an overstamping marks, which you would usually see from that era. I've seen some Italian creeds from that era without overstamping marks but no US. What worries me most about the font is the thickness. Hopefully, Hyacinth will chime in with her opinion.

Boy, I hate it when the more you look at something, the weirder it seems. At this point those numerals are starting to look Greek!!

It will be interesting to hear what Hyacinth might have to add. I'll keep an eye out for more thoughts ...

It's impossible to say for sure, but unless there's another serious problem with the bag it's probably ok.

Remember, during that time there were four different plants in operation, and there's no way to narrow down any stamp or font during that 1988-1993 period to any one specific plant. I don't see any reason to think it's fake but there isn't quite enough solid evidence to prove it's genuine. So use it and enjoy it.

I won't take the risk of moving it along to a new home, but I won't feel smarmy when using it now. Of course, it does mean one less bag I can eliminate from my collection .... :shrugs:
