It's fake. I've never seen an authentic bag with a K3H prefix. Most likely the H plant wasn't in operation in the US in 2003. The K3H creeds always have that very thick font that was never used on any authentic creed. Many of the bags with this prefix are very good copies with hardly any mistakes. In this case, the lining is wrong. It should be tan signature.

Could someone please authenticate this Coach Leatherware bag?
From GW...for now, shopping and rehabbing are therapy for me...
Approx. 10.75w x 8.5h x 5.5d. Strap drop 18.
I'm guessing 1987-91 Shoulder Pouch from Lightweights line? I have 2 others.

LOTS of problems there. The font used for the serial number is much too thick, the "H" is the wrong size, the strap grommets look like silver rather than brass, and the entire style is completely wrong, style 4161 is a Soho Zip Hobo with a different strap, buckle, and no outside pockets. The REAL 4161 is shown below.

Any time you see that thick font with a J8H- prefix it's almost certainly fake.

I am wondering about the authenticity of this bag, which I think is from 2008. It is on craigslist, so I would be able to see it before I buy it. I haven't seen enough of the creeds with metallic writing to be sure about this one.

I am attaching the photos. The one of the creed was too big when I first tried to upload it. Hopefully this is still a decent size.

It looks fine. The strap is super comfy and squishy. There was also a removable crossbody strap.

Thanks. The shoulder strap was actually one thing I was concerned about. The seller says that the bag didn't come with it. I know it's possible that she bought it second-hand and never got the strap, but that also made me slightly concerned.

You're welcome. Shoulder straps get lost. I never use mine because the other strap is so comfortable.
