It's fine. I've seen that type of leather on authentic bags quite often. It isn't the same as the elephant skin we see on fakes.

The first one is a complete fake - please report.
Both the Sheridan Monticello bags are genuine. The creeds are from different years.
Here's another debbieb208 listing. This seller's history is so frequently mixed that I can't recommend her. (With all the fakes posted here for her listings on ebay and Etsy (as Gutsy Girls), I'm surprised she's still selling.

Found this yesterday at Marshall's. Googled and have not seen a "pewter" Avery drawstring. Also, the original price tag is missing another long ID number as seen on other price tags. No YKK on zipper. The magnetic snap on front pocket read "COMAG USA PAT. 5722126. Creed stamps read "J1351-F28621. All the leather Avery's I've seen are F27003.

Check out this listing! Doesn't it look wonderful? Style is correct, creed format is correct but look at the year. Unless my info is mistaken, this format didn't take effect until 1994.

That bag was made in 2002. I don't see any problems. I don't know what info you're using but it's definitely mistaken. I hope you didn't report it?
You may want to re-read the Salearea Coach Guides especially the ones on creeds and serial numbers to refresh your memory. And keep them Bookmarked.

1- Coach reuses style names like "Avery" for different bags, over & over again. NEVER compare two bags unless they have exactly the same style number. Just because the have the same "family" name doesn't mean they're the same style. If you search Ebay for "Coach leather Avery -wallet" you'll find at least a half dozen different styles using the Avery name. There are over 400 listings that come up and a quick scan didn't even find many 27003s, but LOTS of other numbers.

The puffy creed is a dead giveaway. You'll never find anything like that in any pre-China bags.
Why is she referring to it as a style 9980 when the serial says 9952? 9980 is a Taft Bag.
The Creed's Coach logo is too big & the border is much too wide and the D4G- prefix is the same as one in a fake Willis that she listed.
