Thank you, Hyacinth! seller told me she bought this at an estate sale, but did not confirm if it's authentic. a lot of points to say it looks authentic but according to my searches, the "A" should have a pointy tip but the hang tag seems a bit off. plus I've read that in the creed number, the "o" should be small and the "-" under should not be aligned with the base of "N". is this true?
Please disregard those always-never "rules" that you must have read in the many internet guides. With Coach, just about every rule has exceptions, including those you state above. (In fact, those "rules" aren't rules!)

Here are some guides you can trust:

NONE of that is really valid. Every plant had its own creed stamp and every one was different. The ONLY time you can ever compare those kinds of details is between creeds from the same plant, month and year and even that isn't always true, creed stamps can be changed or replaced at any time by Coach and a plant could even have two different creed or serial number stamps in the same calendar month, we've seen it happen.

And since hangtags are so easy to remove or change they should never be used for authentication on their own. Hangtag design and details were also changed often just like creeds and serial numbers.

There is not a shot of the creed but it looks good I think, is it too risky?

There were a lot of fakes of many of the Legacy styles. I personally wouldn't take the chance. If nothing else I'd at least want to verify the serial number. I'd also want to see what the inside of the bag looks like, especially one where the outside is as stained and battered as this one. The details seem ok but condition is an issue, and the Legacy leathers and linings usually aren't as easy to clean and rehab as the older vintage leathers.

Thank you Hyacinth! I was wondering about how hard it would be to rehab that one. I have just barely dipped my toe in the rehab pool and it doesn't sound like that would be one for me to attempt. Good to know. I did not bid on it. It takes so long to get a reply from them and I never had them send additional pictures, soooo........

I noticed from dunking newer coach items (dunked two wallets and a bag) that the dye is not as colour fast. All my newer coach items I have dunked turned out lighter. So I proceed with caution when it comes to the newer bags.

Comment: WTF is a Coach 'Sorts' bag?

"Sportscoach", and it's NOT a Coach product, it was made by another sleazy company trying to cash in on Coach's name. The listing can be reported for KWS but I've allways thought they deserved to be reported as fakes since the company copied Coach's creed statement and hangtag too, not just hijacking the Coach name.

I think there were also problems with some of the Legacy linings too. Anyone thinking about rehabbing one of the 65th Anniversary Legacy bags needs to search the Rehab & Rescue threads for all the information posted on those styles before they decide to buy one that needs a remake. There's a nightmare of a thread somewhere here at tPF by a poster who followed some very bad advice (including using olive oil as a conditioner!) and ended up completely ruining one of the Legacy bags.

And also this bag.

Comment: Please authenticate this also. Thanks very much!

There's no way to authenticate it because there's no way to know whether or not the seller is using her own pictures. And the seller is using exactly the same photos for 2 listings for the same style bag. In both listings, a few pics show a price tag of some kind although one looks like a Coach tag and the other maybe from Macy's or another retailer.

Other photos especially the bottom set don't show any tags at all.

The "Gallery" photo at the top of the listing shows a different bag than the pictures farther down in the description. Compare the C patterns, they're completely different. The pic at the top shows a row of sideways side-by-side Cs in the center of the bottom row of the front of the bag but the other photos show a pair of "linked" Cs in the same position. The bag in the Gallery pic has a price tag of some kind and the others don't, and the position of the Carriage emblem in the C pattern is also different in the photos.

At least one and possibly all of the " redlucky87 " listing have been stolen from other sources. We recommend that no one EVER buy from sellers who steal photos. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER!

I couldn't get the pics to enlarge so couldn't read the creed properly. What a PoS!
