Comment: Please authenticate this also. Thanks very much!

There's no way to authenticate it because there's no way to know whether or not the seller is using her own pictures.

The "Gallery" photo at the top of the listing shows a different bag than the pictures farther down in the description. Compare the C patterns, they're completely different. The pic at the top shows a row of sideways side-by-side Cs in the center of the bottom row of the front of the bag but the other photos show a pair of "linked" Cs in the same position. The bag in the Gallery pic has a price tag of some kind and the others don't.

It's also possible that the top set of photos in the description section aren't the same bag as the bottom set, the bag in the bottom set looks slightly different and even looks larger as if it had one more row of Cs.

At least one and possibly all of the " redlucky87 " listing have been stolen from other sources. We recommend that no one EVER buy from sellers who steal photos. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER!
Ditto what Hyacinth said!

redlucky87 stole the gallery picture from this source -- seller's third picture:

The seller stole the creed from here:

Comment: the creed looks a bit off to me. And the style number is wrong I think. But I don't know for certain so I ask the experts. Thanks again ladies. :)

The creed stamping looks blurry and the style number is wrong and belongs to a Bleecker bag. It's possible that the plant personnel made a mistake when stamping the bag so without more proof I don't think it should be reported as fake. I personally wouldn't buy it though even though the serial number stamp seems ok.

"Sportscoach", and it's NOT a Coach product, it was made by another sleazy company trying to cash in on Coach's name. The listing can be reported for KWS but I've allways thought they deserved to be reported as fakes since the company copied Coach's creed statement and hangtag too, not just hijacking the Coach name.

I couldn't get the pics to enlarge so couldn't read the creed properly. What a PoS!

Here's a listing for a Sportscoach briefcase - at least the seller had the brains to know it wasn't a Coach and to say so in the listing! - and a clear copy of the "Sportscoach creed".

How that company got away with violating Coach's trademarks on the hangtag AND the creed wording I'll never know. And what makes it worse is that I thought they were an American company although the -202 part of the serial number and the misspellings (scratcGes?) in the creeds look suspiciously like Korean fakes. I wonder if maybe this is one of the Korean copiers that Coach brought legal action against and lost? If it is, that would make them actual counterfeits under US law even if Korea's kangaroo court gave them a Get Out Of Jail Free card in a Korean court.

Thank you Hyacinth! I was wondering about how hard it would be to rehab that one. I have just barely dipped my toe in the rehab pool and it doesn't sound like that would be one for me to attempt. Good to know. I did not bid on it. It takes so long to get a reply from them and I never had them send additional pictures, soooo........
Most of the Legacy bags were made with vachetta leather, which rehabs differently. I've never had a problem with the dye bleeding or fading on these bags from a bath, but the finish was designed to weather and look vintage. I've had very good results with Leather Honey on this kind of leather in the darker colors. The lighter colors are really hard to rehab because the original yellowish color of the leather starts to shine through. The white and gray are the worst. The linings are easy to clean.

Yes that is an outlet stamp. I don't believe that it is always the case with Coach classics. It would be difficult to prove since they don't usually stock them at FP stores. I'm pretty sure I've seen some at Macy's that didn't have the outlet stamp. I would complain if I were you. For some reason, there were many classic bags sent to the outlets in the last few months.

Here's a reveal that doesn't have the outlet stamp.
http://forum.purseblog.com/coach/vermillion-classic-city-bag-873245.html

You're welcome. Let me know what happens.

I think this has happened to someone on tpf before. I bought a purse on Coach.com after it had already been at the outlets, but the one I got didn't have an outlet stamp. I'm not sure what I would have done.

The full price stores have a different inventory system than the outlets. Once something has been sent to the outlets, it might be returned to JAX, but I don't believe it is supposed to go back to a full-price store. The main reason for the outlet stamp is so that someone doesn't try to return an item for full-price credit. Since you paid full-price, you should get a bag that doesn't have the stamp.

You might try to find one at an outlet if they won't price adjust for you.

I ended up calling customer service at Coach a couple nights ago and that person checked with someone while I was on the phone and pretty much confirmed that I had an outlet bag and to take it to the nearest store to have them "check it". I then called my closest store and happened to get the person who placed the original order and she was surprised about the whole experience and asked me to bring it back and was going to look into it in the meantime. She was going to call the Madison Ave NY store to check it out. She was sorry it happened; it certainly was not her fault. I will be able to get there in a couple days.

You bought a boutique/full priced department store bag (as opposed to MFF) and if they charged you full price, they owe you a refund.

The bullseye means that the bag came from an outlet store and as such, the price was discounted.

You got an identical bag as you'd have received if it came from Macy's, Bloomies, or a full priced Coach store so you aren't getting a lesser quality item.

But again, the price would have been discounted and you shouldn't have had to pay full retail.

I have heard mixed messages about whether they are the same quality, whether coming from full priced store vs an outlet. Even the sales associate who placed the order said that if it did come from the outlet, it could be a lesser quality. At any rate, I agree, I should get a discount! I can't compare the quality to anything else, as I haven't handled another City bag.

I suggest you call an outlet store and give them the style number and ask what the bag sells for in their store. My guess is that it is at least 30% off retail or up to 50%.

That is a great idea; I will do that. Then I can decide when I take the bag in to Coach how to negotiate; whether to keep/refund/get discount. Thanks all for your help! I am SO glad I got your input instead of just wondering and stewing about it.

It isn't an outlet bag, meaning made specifically for outlets. If that were the case, there would be an F before the style number in the creed. It is a full price item that was stamped to be sold in the outlets. So it is the same quality, but by stamping it with the outlet stamp, it should be sold at the outlet price.

Hi Everyone! Today I found something different than usual (at least for me.) I found a red signature turnlock wallet that I'm pretty sure is authentic, but some confirmation and a general time frame for when it was made would be appreciated.

The audacity of companies who blatantly copy other designs astounds me. And even more so that there is a market for them, and people choose to buy from a company with no imagination or integrity!

Thanks Whateve, I learn so much from all you experts! That's good to know it's the same quality as a full priced item, but hopefully I can pay less for it; I did end up calling a couple outlet stores and asked the price of this bag in their store, and neither had them in stock so could not tell me. One did say it was a "clearance" item when they did look it up; which tells me it should significantly be reduced.

It is still interesting to me that it ended up back in a regular store; unless someone returned an outlet item there and a sales person accepted it when they should not have. In that case, I'll bet they WERE eager to get rid of it!

Again, I appreciate the info! I love this forum :D!

You're welcome.

Actually, it is perfectly okay to return a factory purchase to a regular store for store credit. However, if the store took the return, they weren't allowed to sell it. They were supposed to send it to an outlet or back to JAX. Once it has that outlet stamp, it can't be sold at full price.

It looks like something that went with the Penelope collection made for factory from around 2010, like in these listings.

Coach Turnlock Signature Medium Wallet 43612. Coach called the color red although it's more burgundy. It's MFF and from early 2013.
