Comments: I was watching this item for a few month. Item has been sold. Need some assistance to authenticate the item, i thinked it is faked. I have never see the bag before, i am new also

Welcome to the purse forum!

Without a creed picture, the bag can't be authenticated. What about the bag makes you think it is fake? Just because you've never seen a style before doesn't make it fake. I don't see any problems with it. It appears to be style #5237. I don't have a catalog picture.

I agree about needing a creed pic, and pending that photo it looks like a Connor Brief to me too. Mid-2000s, Wayback pic below.

hippo123 - don't ever think something's fake just because you haven't seen it. How many Coach bags and briefcases have you seen compared to what they've made?

It's authentic. I don't have a catalog picture of it. There was also a satchel in the line, #6707. The line was made in at least four colors: black with nickel, camel with nickel, mahogany with brass, burgundy with nickel. I have the wallet in burgundy with nickel and I've never found a purse to match.

Coach's name for that Burgundy color was Currant. Sounds much tastier! :D

And I had a purse to match, but Clothes Mentor has it now, unless it's been sold.

I do not see a problem with it. A creed shot would confirm it but the briefcase looks fine. I specialize in briefcases and this was a popular style.

Yummy! I probably don't need the matching purse. I really like the contrasting pigskin on it but the leather looks like it scratches too easily. What I really love about the wallet is the moire fabric lining and the heavy matte plastic in the ID window. It oozes quality!

Hi, I just purchased a basic City bag from a coach store; They did not have it in stock, and had just a couple vermillion left at all, so they had they had it mailed to me; I see it came from the Madison NY store.

When I received it, I noticed it had a bullseye in the upper right corner of the creed. I know I am not a Coach expert, but in looking at this forum I have seen that this appears to be from a Coach outlet possibly. When I called my closest Coach store who placed the order, they did not know, so called the NY store who said this is always the case with the Coach classics. Can anyone share their thoughts/knowledge on this? I would rather not pay full price on an outlet handbag if that is the case.

Thank you!!

Yes that is an outlet stamp. I don't believe that it is always the case with Coach classics. It would be difficult to prove since they don't usually stock them at FP stores. I'm pretty sure I've seen some at Macy's that didn't have the outlet stamp. I would complain if I were you. For some reason, there were many classic bags sent to the outlets in the last few months.

Here's a reveal that doesn't have the outlet stamp.

Thanks, Whateve; it just didnt "smell" right to me either. I knew someone on here would have more information. I will call tomorrow and have a chat with the store I go to. They are too far for me to just pop in there. I love the bag, but will have to figure out what to do about it.

I appreciate your time!

Good afternoon ladies. I have one question I bought this 3 at the coach store and this one online but it's says made in China were my other 3 say Vietnam. Can the one I bought only be fake?? Or are different bags made all over the world.. here are more pictures of my online purse

Coach bags and accessories are made in several Asian countries. Please read all six of the Salearea Coach Guides for more information about Coach. I don't see any problems, but one picture of a tag usually isn't much to go on. And a picture of a price tag is a lot more effective when we can see the inside of the tag.

You're welcome. Let me know what happens.

I think this has happened to someone on tpf before. I bought a purse on Coach.com after it had already been at the outlets, but the one I got didn't have an outlet stamp. I'm not sure what I would have done.

The full price stores have a different inventory system than the outlets. Once something has been sent to the outlets, it might be returned to JAX, but I don't believe it is supposed to go back to a full-price store. The main reason for the outlet stamp is so that someone doesn't try to return an item for full-price credit. Since you paid full-price, you should get a bag that doesn't have the stamp.

You might try to find one at an outlet if they won't price adjust for you.
