Thank you, Hyacinth! I'm measuring it right now, and it's more like 8.5 top to bottom x 9.5 side to side. Is it possible?

And I'll make sure to measure them in the future.

Could you please take a look at the other two bags I posted right before this one? They measure 7.5 x 5.5 and 8.5 x 9.5.

Thanks!

Not unless Coach's measurements were off, or it's not a Lightweight but some style I'm forgetting about. Maybe someone else can suggest a style.

I think it is a really old bag and someone decided to "fix" the kisslock by stitching it like that. I found another that is a pre-creed bag and it does not look like that. The leather on the second one I found appears to be glued onto the edge of the metal kisslock frame. The one I have which is later has a leather covered kisslock. I think the one I posted has had a very bad repair done on it.

I asked the seller about it and she said she got it from an estate sale like that. Is there some reason you didn't post a link to the auction? I think the bag is authentic but the metal kisslock portion looks like it was replaced - you can see that the knobs at the top aren't the right shape.

Thank you, Whateve. Considering back then the bags were smaller in general, I would think it's pretty big by those days standards ;-) I'm actually getting used to them - miraculously, I was even able to transfer my necessities from small Madison Phoebe to convertible clutch, loosing tons of stuff I could live without along the way.

And thank you once again for all the info, Hyacinth!

You're welcome! I have the large Plaza court and I can fit everything I normally carry in it, but it gets pretty heavy. I think the shape is adorable!

I have a large 1980's mahogany Plaza Court and like you Whateve I love the shape. It's also in pristine condition. It's too small for me to use though so it sits on display on top of our bedroom tall boy. I think its looks great there. DH had got used to it! I told him its a romantic reminder of our trip together to New York in 1985!

Hello, I had this bag looked at on ebay and was told it was fake. Can you please verify also. Was told that a bag starting with W7B-9927 is fake and that Coach did not start their bags with a "W". I did check reviews also and a few stated some 9927 bags were faked and not Willis bags but some should be looked at. I truly trust the people on the purse board over at ebay. They have never steered me wrong. Just wanting to be 1000 % positive before I ditch the bag. Thank you. Deb

Item: Willis Bag
No Seller: Is mine bought from thrift shop.

I would trust their decision. I've never seen an authentic bag with a W month code. Since the first letter indicates the month of manufacture, and there are only 12 months, anything after M is wrong. The font of the creed is wrong for that plant as well. Willis bags are 9927. They are the same, and they are highly faked. The silver hardware looks too shiny. Silver hardware used by Coach in 1997 was a brushed nickel.
