Good afternoon ladies! Could you kindly authenticate this bag when you get a moment?

If deemed authentic, may I please have any add'l information: style name (it's Willis-y without the top handle and removable strap), color (it's kinda a moss, olive, camo. green, and year? TIA for all you do for all of us! Much obliged, M

Sorry we missed this - yes, it's a genuine Devon Bag. The color is probably Olive and it's from 1994.

Good evening everyone,

I came across a kisslock bag that purports to be a Coach but need help on this one. No measurements are given and there appears to be no creed either. I am guessing it is a fake? It sure is interesting though. As always, any information will be greatly appreciated.

The kisslock purse looks strange - what's making that zigzag pattern around the frame? Can you show a closer picture of that part?

Hi Hyacinth. I agree. It does look strange. Here is a photo of the kisslock blown up a bit. It looks as though there is nothing covering the stitching. I find it hard to believe that Coach made it like that. There was probably leather covering it?

Thank you everyone for always being so helpful and spending time to do this! I need some help identifying the authenticity of these bags that I just bought on eBay:

Item: Details about Coach Vintage Ivory Leather Small Turnlock Shoulder Bag Purse USA MADE
Listing number: 26137162788
Seller: wearforless_7
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/261371627888?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#shpCntId
Comments: I was kinda iffy buying this bag because they had a random sale where they knocked down it down by $10. I gave in but I hope this is a real bag!

Item: Details about Coach Vintage Brown Cross Body Saddle Handbag
Listing number: 251454243386
Seller: ladyspins
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/251454243386?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
Comments: I just got this in the mail and I am currently airing it out. I can take a picture of the number inside when I get home. Hopefully the pictures in the listing are enough.

Thank you very much!

1- looks like a genuine Devon Bag style 9908 from around 1993

2- we really need to see the creed and serial number whenever you get a chance to take a photo.

Thank you so much Hyacinth! I appreciate your time and effort. No worries. I know I posted at a busy time and I assumed I got lost in the shuffle, momentarily. I hope I didn't come across as impatient. Just very excited about the Olive color. Have a great week and thanks for all you do! :hugs:

Whateve or another of our vintage experts need to look at that one. I've never seen that before.

I think it is a really old bag and someone decided to "fix" the kisslock by stitching it like that. I found another that is a pre-creed bag and it does not look like that. The leather on the second one I found appears to be glued onto the edge of the metal kisslock frame. The one I have which is later has a leather covered kisslock. I think the one I posted has had a very bad repair done on it.

Here is another photo of the kisslock. It looks very strange to me.

That bag was mentioned the other day:

Thank you for your quick reply! Should I be worried that the serial is No. 0890-309? I don't think I've ever seen any that started with "08"

Here's is the clearest photo I could get of my other bag. It's a very small bag so trying to take a picture inside the bag was hard:

The second is a genuine Regina Bag from 2000.

There's no problem with the serial number. Read the Salearea Guides on Creeds and on Serial numbers for more information:

I agree with Cameochi that someone has attempted to sew the kiss lock back into place, and done a very poor job of it. I thought it strange that the seller didn't mention that in the listing or perhaps s/he thinks its how it should be! Not sure how easy it would be to repair properly. If it could be done easily then it could be good buy.

I am thinking this is a knock off but want to make sure before I decide NOT to buy it. She said that Coach emblem is on the inside but I have only seen them on the outside. Can you please advise.

It's fine.

I think the "Coach emblem" the seller is referring to on the inside is the creed. The emblem you're referring to on the outside is the horse and carriage logo.

In the future, please refer to post #1 for the posting format and information we need to see.
