Could I get another look at this Willis bag? I started rehabbing it, and I'm not so sure it's authentic. After I gave it a bath I saw it had a double sided hang tag, so now I'm totally kicking myself. (I know it's not a sure sign, but it doesn't necessarily look good either.) But if it is a fake, it's a ridiculously good one. The creed is M5B-9927
Here's an album of the pictures.
I don't see anything wrong with it. It looks completely authentic. There is no problem with a double-sided hangtag. Coach started using them in the nineties.

Thanks, BeenBurned...I've had troubles posting here lately...using Firefox, but old Mac OS...time to move to new laptop, perhaps? Any thoughts on color? Is there a resource?
Happy Weekend :)
It's FF that I've had trouble getting quotes to show but they work on Safari. But my laptop is just a few months old so I don't think it's your computer. I think it's the forum and FF not getting along well.

I think the color of the bag might be aubergine.

Phew! Thanks, Whateve :) I'll get back to rehabbing her. I've been using my 70s stewardess as a general comparison, but I guess I should stop doing that due to the ~20 year age difference :-P

Oohhh aubergine...I like the sound of that! The quoting thing actually varies from thread to thread with me, but I agree that my FF (it's real old) and the forum in general are having issues...time to switch to newer laptop. Thanks for everything!

I'm not using XP, I have Windows 8. The problem I have isn't with multiquoting. Just certain posts from some people can't be quoted. I can quote other people just fine. What I do is set it up to quote someone else, then copy and paste the person's post that I really want to quote and change the name in the quote. Then I copy the number from the address line and change that part too. That is easier for me than changing browsers since I'm already automatically signed in on Firefox.

Hi ladies, is this authentic?

Item: Coach Hampton Scrible 5657 Medium Bone Signature Jacquard Purse Shoulderbag Hobo

Seller: gc11i

Thanks so much!!

It's a genuine Scribble Small Hobo.
I just want to add that this style and a few other scribble bags are exceptions to the centering/matching "rule."

Also, there are some very "good" fakes of scribbles, many with "correct" serial numbers. It's a good idea to have them checked before buying.

Hi can you please take a look at this bag

What is the style name?

I received this yesterday and was curious if this was authentic and what the name was. Also did NYC bags have a fake feel to some of their bags? I could be wrong but it feels plasticy or really pristine. Is also looks like the trim has a deeper color than the rest, even inside. It does not look dyed or painted though. Which is why I'm curious.... Please help!!

I'm might be wrong... I'm really not sure

It's authentic. It's a shoulder purse #9385. I have this bag in putty. The trim is a different color than the rest of the bag. I don't think this was intentional. I think they used a different type of leather for the trim and it took the dye differently. The leather isn't as soft as some vintage Coach bags. I find that really small bags didn't get used much so the leather isn't as soft and worn as the bigger bags.

Thank you! That is what I was thinking! Thank you for authenticating! Also, in your experience does the flannel gray keep its color after you wash and condition it? I don't want the blue undertones to go away? Also is there something to look at that is a giveaway to of the color is flannel gray? Thank you!!

You're welcome! The flannel gray keeps it color and is usually more apparent after washing and conditioning. The best way to tell if it is flannel gray is to look at the suede inside, especially inside a pocket where it hasn't had a chance to fade.

Ok I took photos. Please let me know what you think! Some look navy some gray some lack! I think it is flannel gray because of the pocket and the inside bottom. I played with LT on one side of the outside, but I think I need to just wash it! And see! 2 more to come.....
