Thks!
It's fine. The "A" in the creed is more worrying than the "J". "A" refers to the original NYC plant, which should have been shut down by 1994 when they opened all the other plants. We think that the few authentic bags we've seen with an "A" factory code may have been made for training purposes in New York.
You're welcome! You should think about rehabbing. Once you do it a few times, you'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner.Thank you Whateve! OK worry about an "A". I think I do have one of those.
I have so many of these old purses. I think I am a purse horder. I used to work (years ago) for an estate auctioneer and bought an old truck that was full of these. That kind of got me started.
I am not a re-habber, though maybe I should learn how to do it and start.
Reported--I know I'm not an expert, but this one absolutely SCREAMS fake. In the creed they misspelled "China" and the wording is strange since it stops at "characteristic" (characteristic of what? A FAKE?)Here is a 99999 creed:

Interesting.
We've seen 99999 bags in the past and although we weren't able to prove or disprove authenticity (on previous ones), there were none with mistakes as obvious as this one.
I do believe this is the first definite fake 99999 creed.
It's been advised that because we couldn't prove or disprove authenticity of these bags with that style number, it wasn't advisable to purchase.

Here are a couple of others.
This listing has different wording for the material (leather), but similar grammar:

I'm sure the first bag from gagany is fake with China spelled as "CHNA." I'm not sure of the others, but I certainly wouldn't buy or sell one.
A friend handed me this (slightly beatbag a while ago to use for parts, found in a thrift, she thought it was a fake. I just looked at it more closely - and am thinking it is a real Casino bag? Creed number is a bit hard to read. Appreciate some expert eyes on this, thanks so much..
