It's a watermelon tote 9441, probably from the early 80s. The seller is a little off on the date of manufacture and it isn't that rare. It was made after Bonnie Cashin left Coach but the design was probably created by her.

It's an authentic pocket purse from 1997. I've never seen one with an adjustable strap so that might have been replaced.

Please ask the seller for a picture of the creed patch (at the very least).

Sellers of bags should show front, back, sides, bottom, top, inside, a clear and legible picture of the creed.

It's fake but it's one of the "best" fakes I've seen in that style!

The fabric colors and prints are off and the pattern placement is trying to copy the patterns of style 378, a similar but smaller bag.
