It's a genuine City Bag from 2003, not "vintage" yet since it still has 9 years to go before hitting the 20 years old mark. It's not any kind of "legacy" style either, just a City Bag.

I can't give advice about rehabbing but it looks like many of the spots are from oil of some kind. Hopefully some of our experienced Rescuers can give you some advice either here or at the Rescue & Rehab thread.

Thanks for all the good info. I did also post on that thread to seek advice and try to gauge the odds of a successful rehab. We'll see! Thanks again.

I just got burned (no pun intended) by a similar fake and I usually think I'm pretty good with Coach. Have written to the seller and await a reply (just received the item today, though). So for some reason these ugly things are out there.

Now that I can look at the seller kandik's other listings, I see that this isn't the first fake she sold.

Whether or not she knows she's selling fakes or not is irrelevant. It's her responsibility to know that her items are authentic or they can't be listed.

I don't recommend kandik!!

In the description she states the serial number is 16467, but if you look at the label in the pics, there is no number on the label. I say fake. Please verify . ;)

I'm not familiar with the bag but a bag that size should have a serial number on the creed.

I can't find any listings or pictures showing the creed, but the style number should be 16734.

I wouldn't recommend buying the bag from mizprple76.

Other opinions are welcome. Maybe someone else might have the bag and can comment.

I share your concern about the second photo - in fact many of the seller's photos have been stolen from other sources. At least half of her Gallery photos were stolen from Coach's website, and several of the other pictures have other seller's watermarks on them like the Juliette and the listing for the white woven Carrie. Apparently she couldn't find any pictures of the Mini Preston to steal so she had to be content with just stealing Coach's photo as the only one in the listing.

I would NOT buy from " sweetriverrose77 " under ANY circumstances since it's extremely likely that the bag in the photos is NOT the exact one you'll receive. Stealing other seller's or companies' graphics and photos is not only unethical, but against Ebay rules and against US federal laws on copyright and trademark violations.

Also, this new seller ALREADY has TWO Negatives, and under old Ebay Rules would have been blocked or banned from the site. Her latest Feedback from an unhappy buyer says "bought a New Without Tags bag, However it's used bag... a lot of scratches..."

BTW, since the photo of the blue Juliette was actually stolen right from Coach, they obviously made that color. Who the other pictures are stolen from (you can actually see a tiny bit of the original owner's watermark in the lower right corner of the 3rd and 4th photos) is another question. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER!

Thank you so much for your quick reply. I was close to buying another handbag (a desert Lindsey) she had listed then these were listed. They really made me question if she was honest or not.
