Item:Bonnie Cashin vintage leather brown satchel shoulder
Item no: 231162201082
Seller: vintage-space

Comment: I know it's not Coach, but is it BC?

I don't see any maker's name. The BC pieces I've seen have usually had her name somewhere on the bag. Why would a designer like Cashin make a bag for anyone without a trademark anywhere?

There's no way I'd consider buying without photos showing a Cashin stamp or label.

Comment: is this authentic, please?

I don't know why the seller is using the Cashin name, AFAIK Coach only used it on limited items even when they were inspired by Cashin designs. The only ones I remember were the ones from about 4 years ago that were stamped with graphics showing her ads for Coach, but I really haven't paid attention to most of the newer styles and can't even say if it's a genuine Coach

This one looks like it should have a long strap included but I don't see one.

Isn't that a new release of an old design? Looks like a creed inside?
I'm not familiar with the style but I'm not comfortable with the turnlock hardware. I don't believe that listing is for an authentic item.

It looks like it's copying the "Bonnie" (not Cashin) foldovers from a few years ago but as far as I can recall, I've only seen those "Coach est. 1941" turnlocks on fakes, most commonly on the tattersall wristlets in a style that Coach never made.

NSP, I don't think that's a creed. It's the patch shown in the last picture in the listing:

Please authenticate. Thank you so much! This bag is 11w x 7.5h x 3d. It might be navy blue, but it's so dark I can't tell. I think a bath will do wonders.

My concern here is the interior zipper. It's nylon. Could have been replaced. .. but still not sure.

I don't know why that would be a problem. All the Sutton Zips have nylon zippers on the inside pocket - in fact many Coach bags from the last 15 years do, Coach has been using nylon zippers for over 20 years. It's genuine.

see, that is why I asked about the zipper. I knew you'd know. I learn so much reading this thread. You are awesome!

It looks fine

Thank you so much!

Good comparison - BeenBurned has posted the fake Tattersall wristlets before and it does look like the same fake turnlock. The Carriage stamp also is missing a ton of detail and the clip on the wrist strap doesn't look right either. The lining seems too baggy and doesn't fit the bag snugly like it should.

Thanks. I was just trying to say it wasn't some vintage design it was newer, not commenting on authenticity. Missed the last picture too. Thanks for authenticating.
