Hi Ladies,

Can someone take a second and look over this vintage wallet?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-VINTA...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

I just found a very similar one - same textured leather, same clasp style, and placement of the coach stamp - at the Goodwill Outlet (for free!). The only difference is that the one I have is black and the inside has slots for credit cards on both sides whereas the one pictured has a bill/checkbook pocket on the right hand side.

Your help is much appreciated!
Since it's not costing you anything for the "similar one" you found at Goodwill, post pictures of that one once you get it.

No one can authenticate it because it's similar to another.

You can't go wrong with the price though!

Hi, everybody! Long time lurker, first time poster :) I've been buying Coach purses from thrift stores for about a month now (my thrifted collection is up to 4 now, but I made my first factory purchase last week.) I was hoping to have my latest find authenticated:

It looks like its a vintage Coach Stewardess Bag from the mid-70s. Camel brown, found it on a hook at the thrift store and not behind the counter?! Best part: It was $15!!!
It needs some restoration to the leather and the brass can use some cleaning, so any suggestions on how to do that would be greatly appreciated! (I saw a liquid leather touch up kit on a blog for touch ups. Does any one else have experience using one for this color?)

BTW, please don't use the information in that Ebay listing as a comparison to any other wallets. It may be genuine but it's definitely NOT from the Madison line, nor is it "vintage" yet.

The Stewardess Bag is genuine, made probably some time between the mid-1970s to the mid-80s. Nice find!

There's a huge thread at the main Coach forum under the Coach Clubhouse section for the Rehab and Rescue Club. The Search feature for that thread should point you in the right direction.

Thank you for looking at the listing. I'm including photos of the actual wallet I picked up.

What made me suspicious was the snap that says "Fiocchi Italy" as I've never seen that on a coach purse before (never owned any wallets).

Thanks, Hyacinth! So glad it's an authentic bag--it took me half an hour to authenticate it in store since I didn't know about the creeds in the 70s actually being serial numbers. (That and the gut feeling I usually get when I find a real bag was a little off due to somewhat foreseen circumstances. Thankfully it kicked back in once I took a closer look at a DVF bag I had found which definitely wasn't real. A classy lady like DVF would NEVER glue leather!) I definitely nearly shrieked in a dressing room once I found it was probably real and that it was from the 70s.

Like the wallet in the listing you posted, it's actually from the Gramercy line, made in the very late '90s to about 2001. The Fiocchi Italy snaps are in most if not all of the Italian-made wallets.

Can someone authenticate this Goodwill find please?

Item: poss Legacy Striped Wristlet
Serial No. C0868-41660

Thanks!

It seems ok. It's hard to tell if the hangtag is the original one but there aren't any good photos in my files.

Thanks so much! Am I right about in guessing it was made in 2008?
I've attached a larger picture of the hang tag. Not sure if that would help or not. : )

I don't think it's the original but it IS an authentic hangtag. I thought it originally came with a gold leather hangtag to match the strap.

Yes, the wristlet was made in 2008.

And the original hangtag would have been gold to match the leather trim.

Could someone please authenticate this Coach bag?
From GW...
Approx. 10.5”w x 7”h x 4”d Strap drop 8” to buckle
Found it on the Wayback...2006 Legacy Soft Suede Duffle #1421, yes?
Thanks in advance!
Hi, JOODLZ, I hope you share your rehab magic with us. I bought an absolutely filthy purse with the same kind of suede and tassle from 2006 but I am afraid to do anything with it, which is crazy since I paid 12.50 for it!
