It's authentic but I have no idea of style number. (I'll hunt around but they've done zillions of picture frame fobs.)

Is this a vintage Coach? I purchased this from a friend that thought it was an authentic vintage Coach.
We need the measurements to identify the style, but if it's genuine - possibly a City Bag from the late 1980s - it would be vintage. However, it's not in original condition, the strap has been cut down to maybe half its original length and the way the strap end was finished off is NOT the way Coach would do it.
The bag is 8" h x 11" w x 3 1/2" d. I wondered why the strap was so short and it looks like it was cut like you noticed. It's a very heavy leather and everything else is in great condition. It was even monogrammed with initials on the front PWJ.

The measurements fit, definitely an early City Bag.

Have you checked out the UK Ebay site? There aren't as many bags available but the shipping will probably be MUCH cheaper from the UK than from North America.

I just found a very similar one - same textured leather, same clasp style, and placement of the coach stamp - at the Goodwill Outlet (for free!). The only difference is that the one I have is black and the inside has slots for credit cards on both sides whereas the one pictured has a bill/checkbook pocket on the right hand side.
