I was happy to acquire a few bag that I believe they are OK, except for the last one that I really need to be sure is (perhaps) fake, before I return it.

All pictures taken by me.

Name: Weston
Creed barely readable, but says made in the United States

This one I believe unfortunately is fake, but I was told that when parts can be replaceable that's not the only way to determine if a bag is fake. Let me know if you need specific pictures.

Name: Essex briefcase (the turnlocks have the indents and shorter prongs)

The 5274 briefcase is fake - the font of the serial number is completely wrong.

The others seem to be genuine

The use of Bonnie Cashin's name is extremely misleading since she had no connection at all to this briefcase and had stopped designing for Coach at least 15 years before this bag was even made. And as you noticed, the strap has been drastically cut down to about 2/3rds of its original size, maybe more.

It seems to be a genuine Lexington Brief from the early 1990s but it's hard to be completely sure since the photo of the creed stamp isn't very clear.

Again my apologies here is a good photo of the creed on the briefcase. Thank you for your help!

I requested a refund and had a fast reply from the seller in about 30 mns), who had even enough time to consult with his expert, this is what he said... I thought you might find amusing some experts' "expertise", gosh!

Just so you know. I just talked to my bag expert and she says the bag is 100% authentic. She has been doing this for over 30 years. Bag is vintage , heavy leather with matching serial #`s. As far as the creed that was the logo coach used back then. Just send the bag back for full refund.

I was afraid of that. At least the rest are OK.

Thank you for your prompt reply.

Please post a link to the listing or online site where you bought this bag.

Regarding the "expert" she's using, she's either lying and doesn't have an expert or her expert needs to get a job with ***************** because that's the type of experts they use.

In the future, please refer to post #1 for the posting format and information. There's a reason why we want to know who these sellers are!
